Question. Have any of you seen either of these electronica
film documentaries:
Modulations
Better Living Through Circuitry

? they're supposed to document the entire history of
electronic music complete with great interviews. i haven't
seen either yet, i can't find them in any rental shops
(gosh, i wonder why). i'm going to order one or both, but
first i want to know what anyone who's seen these has to say
about them. thanks :)

ive just seen better living through circuitry...it was
pretty good...it seemed to focus a bit more on the rave
scene than electronic music in general...they did a little
bit on the history of electronic music...
they talked a little with one of the guys from
kraftwerk...but then mostly focused on the more modern end
of things..

ah ok, yea that's what i heard, that circuitry was much more
rave oriented (interviews mostly 90s house/techno dj's) and
modulations more of a wide scope of electronica in the last
100 years (incl. interviews w/ squarepusher and autechre and
so many more)

Yeah I saw both.

yeah, bltc is more about raves.

Modulations was really good I think. However, it was more
like an intro to electronic music for someone who doesnt
know what it is. However, there was alot of interesting
facts i didnt know.
Yes, many great interviews, i especially like the FSOL one,
via internet.

Yeah, check it out man,

Modulations is worth getting, let me tell ya!
in an interview sean from autechre looks to me like he picks
his nose at one point.
rob just sits there almost dead looking.
