Jedi Chris & CeriJC's Excellent Adventure

Yesterday me and Ceri travelled up north to Alton Towers
(big theme park in the UK, for those that don’t know). We
went on the new rollercoaster ‘Air’. Has anyone else
been on it? It’s mad! You are locked into your seat, with
your ankles held secure and the seats are then raised up and
locked back against the track, so that you are hanging under
the track facing the floor. You are then sent ‘flying’
track through tight bends and loop – it’s quite crazy!
Some parts of the ride you think you are going to fly into
rocks and boulders.

Something of interest whilst we were there, was some sort of
incident that happened on the rollercoaster ‘Nemesis’.
We’d been on it once, and were queuing for a second go,
when one of the ‘trains’ didn’t return!! There are
two trains on the ride, one leaves the boarding station
before the other one arrives. Anyway, the people had been
strapped into their harnesses and where just sat there
waiting for about 15 minutes – and nothing! Then the
people who were on the second train were lead up the
boarding station, they’d obviously been released from
their seats from wherever their train was! Then there were
loads of paramedics around, and all the staff who were
operating the ride were looking really worried! Anyway, they
closed the ride and set us away – not giving us an
explanation of what had happened, just issuing us a ticket
each, saying that the ride had broken down (obviously not)
and we could come back later and have a go without queuing!
Everyone went around the far side of the ride to see what
had happened to the second train, we could see the train and
someone sat in one of the front seats, but could see what
had happened. There were lots of stories ranging from things
like ‘Someone had fallen out’, ‘Someone had a heart
attack’ . . . so I don’t know. Everyone who was in the
vicinity of the Nemesis, trying to ascertain what had
happened was told to vacate the area – immediately, well
suspect if you ask me! They even had a police or fire
helicopter in the area.

What did they say?

When you get into the boarding station for Nemesis, the
queue splits into two, you can join the one queue for front
row seats, which we did! Had we not, we would’ve ended up
on ‘that’ train!

Whoa..... The train stopped when I went up in march, just
before the first drop.
I wasnt on it but all the people looked well scared. Nothing
happened to anyone but when it went, it was prolly the
scariest ride they'd ever go on after all that.

That sounds terrible though Chris.

Let us know if you find anything.

It was very concerning.....but we had an excellent time!

Apparently one of the cars knocked some kid on the head
but.... how the hell did that happen?

My mate heard it on the radio.

Sorry I posted it wrong!

Hit some kid on the head??? Was he too small or something?
He shouldn't of been on the ride, they stop that kinda
thing. Once you are on the ride there's nothing to hit
you......????

I need to know more.....anyone?

Will do!

Stories like this don't stop me going to places like this,
but it was the way the park seemed to 'cover' the whole
thing up! A sort of 'nothing to see here....move along'
attitude!

I tried Nacmat, but like you nothing. My mobile is a WAP
phone and we tried that yesterday as well, but again
nothing!

I think it is a big cover up . . .

something bad has happened and everybody knows...money is
the reason

I've even looked the local news websites and nothing! I am
convinced something sinister happened!

They even continued to play the sinister music as well, a
good 20-30 minutes after the incident as well!

I must admit that it was sabotage on my part. I have a
persoanl grudge against alton Towers who made my father
redundant some years ago. I will have my revenge, oh yes, I
will.
