i am referring to "freak daddy" on the rawkus soundbombing 3 compilation leaked out last week. the comp (armed with a new roots song with talib kweli, new common, some other goodies) is due in stores june 4.
anyway the mos def track is hot. it's the first studio offering from his african-american all-star band "black jack johnson" (keyboardist from p-funk, bass & drums from living colour, guitarist from bad brains). it's a rather hardcore song, big scary guitars and fierce vocals (it is hip-hop, not straight rock and roll tho). anyway i am just sharing this with you cos it's worth a download at least - 03-va-freak_daddy_-_mos_def-cms.mp3 on soulseek, or just mos def - freak daddy.mp3 on audiogalaxy. 4:26 192kbps :) enjoy and post comments!
(p.s. i don't know if it's better or worse than the massive attack collaboration, that one was such a classic.)
