Without the sharingnetworks most people wouldn't even have
heard from the small artists... If you want to support them,
send some money to them directly.

Supreme... I have HUNDREDS of CDs... trust me, I know what
it's like! But I find downloading MP3s just as rewarding...
that's just me. I know a lot of you guys want the actual
packaging and all that. It just doesn't matter to me... I
want the sounds, and that's it. If I can get the sounds by
right clicking on somebody, that's all I need.

I wish I had Soulseek and the net three years ago, would
have saved enough cash to buy a fucking house!

I have to wait for hours to download an album. It's very
rewarding when I finally get it. And don't worry, I've
bought hundreds of CDs.

I bought Drukqs, and that was one of the last CDs I paid
cash for... I never use it. I just put the MP3s on Winamp.
Convenient, plus I can use plug-ins to fuck around and play
with the tracks! My Drukqs is collecting dust somewhere...

i've downloaded one or two things - things i know are £60
plus on e bay and rare as hens teeth - not likely to be
relreleased really like "lets go swimming" by arthur russell
-the best thing to do is pay for the artists cd's of the
musiic they make - they're not a charity the'yre perfectly
capable of doing other things like getting jobs in offices
and quitting music if it's not making them a living - which
is what happens to an unbelivable amount of talented people
-

Is there a reason why they can't do both office jobs and
make music in their spare time?

Totally decentralized. If you find a great server, it is
really great. Really really great. But shitty servers are
the pitz.

I doubt any of the labels that deal with the RIAA have much
music on soulseek.

It shouldn't be a threat to them.

kinda reminds me of a warty cancerous bola covered in
herpes. Good riddance.

There is no shutdown!
All that has happened is that a petition appeared asking for
people's support in stopping AG being shutdown by the RIAA.
Surprize!, this was actually a trick and the petition
actually originated with RIAA, they were just trying to
collect E-mail addresses and freak people out, scare them in
to not sharing files... it's all a bunch of bullshit!
