...of my comments regarding GTA3 for the PC. Whilst the controls, graphics and sound are all better than the PC and the skinnable main character are nice, it falls down one one critical point- it moves at about 2 frames/second on my 1.3ghz Athlon with 512mb RAM and a 64mb Geforce 2.
This is the case when you try to run it on a windows XP machine.
The company are aware of this bug (mentioning in a readme file..) Yet they make no mention of it not working with XP anywhere on the box as technically, it does run, albeit very, very, slowly.
I would urge anyone else with a nvidia card and windows xp (the 2 things that cause this problem) to not buy this game, at least until a patch is released that rectifies the problem.
Perhaps an indication of how good the game is, is that I am seriously considering re-installing windows 98, just to be able to play the game...

It should do, the readme says it's only when using nvidia cards in XP. They do offer a patch, but that only sorts out the menus, not the game itself.
I'm going to email their tech support now and if I don't get any joy it's going back to PC world on wednesday...
