I have one of his albums. It's good. He died of a rare blood disorder.

I love his arabic/dub rhythms but I often find his music a bit too repetitive, it probably makes excellent DJ material. The topics he tried to adress are still very much alive today...

Can you summarise for me?

No, I thing he was British but he was very concerned with what was going on in the middle east. He wanted some attention for those topics. If you want to know more about him visit:

Yes he is completely not arab :)
I agree it is sometimes repetitive, and not very easy to listen. Therefore hypnotizing as hell. Not recommended as background or driving or workplace music.

My personal recommendation would be the track 'Arab Jerusalem' It's a more Ambient-ish tripped out dubsoundtrack with great atmosphere.
BTW: "thing" = "think" and "Palastina" = "Palestina" sorry...

I like a lot of his stuff..but I prefer his arab rhythms to the Indian ones..only because the Indian music has been so abused by the Beatles and the likes that it has become a bit of a cliche..
anyhoo..his song Y/A has the most amazing rhythms I have ever heard..
