...to judge a movie by it's soundtrack???

it's worked well for me, unlike jdging a book by it's cover

Sound is an integral part of the moviegoing experience.

I don't think its fair to say that a movie is bad for the
sole reason that you don't like the soundtrack, but you can
say that the soundtrack ruined the movie for you. Likewise,
having a good soundtrack doesn't make a movie great, but it
can make watching the movie worthwhile.

Thats the way I look at it at least.

a poor choice of sound representation can fully destroy a
piece of film.
