I've finally got around to MP3erizing my Music 200 songs
onto my PC. They're good, just restricted sample wise.

Can anyof you suggest the best way of linking them up to the
net for alittle cost or as little effort as possible? 11
tracks in total. prolly bout 70mbs.

Tanks :)

How much does it cost if anything at all?

I think it's free, a lot of guys from this MB have their
music up there, go to www.mp3.com and sniff around for
information.

Aaaah Music 2000.... I made my first tracks using that
program when it was first out on PS1.... *fond memories*

I surprisingly still use that when the boredom kicks in.
Made me a dark drum n bass track called "Echo Psychosis" one
day and sent it to some PS1 mag coz they were looking for
people's tracks using Music 2000. Best thing is I was one of
the Top Entries and all!

I use mp3.com .. its free (don't get tricked into paying for
premium service).

There are better sites around, but it does the job for me -

It's free, and as long as you're patient re: songs appearing
after you'v euploaded them I'd say get an MP3 account.

well, ive been PAS when I was making crapo all... i used to
get like $1 a month :(. But it was only last month I got 2
songs featured on the site and that delivered a great ton of
hits... but u only get half a cent per play, so its not that
great for pas. I just like the quick approval times, they
free enrollment in all their promo things, optional banner
ads (of course, u destroy them at once!) and other stuff...
they keep bringing new things in all the time too, and pas
members instantly get access to them, plus an FTP style
proggie that uploads your files, via ftp, so a 12mb file
takes less than an hour on 56k, instad of the usual 2-3
hours thru the browser. Worth it if you arent bothered about
getting the money back, they treat you like royalty ;).

for domains, direct nic are great.... $30 for 2 years, plus
u get hosting too, but with crappy adds:(. they dont allow
any files that arent pics or html either, but hosting for 2
eyars is $30, and u get a load of stufff.... that may be an
option for you if you can afford $60 for 2 years.

Ah yes, Music 2000. It's a nice little program to fool
around with. I've made a few tunes with it.

Cheers guys, thanks for your help. I'll get it up and
running soom and post a lnk here. Who will listen?!?!

Yea, I like music 2000 but the samples are real crappy and
there's hardly any memory space. You'll find that when you
listen to my songs that some of the samples will be the
same. :(

I'll buy some decent kit sometime.

There are too many genres for me to chose from.

Shall I just put it under Electronica then ask u guys what
it should be under?

just shove it under electronica, mp3.com are crap for
genres... they didnt have UK Garage till last month. they
still thought agrage was punk music. I was half expecting
the rnb bit to have not Destiny's Child but Jools
Holland....

Music 2000 rules a lot. How have u managed to get it direct
to pc?
The way i did it with a few tracks is by connecting to a vid
recorder then from vid to stereo which had cd burner... to
much of a chore, especially now i dont have access to it as
i moved out of home.

I still pretty much use m2k as my primary production for
music, i have over 150 tracks saved. Its a wicked (if
restricted) little numbur.
