Mine is Where the Streets have no Name by U2... at least
right now... first of all I just love the music, I think it
builds so excellent, and perfectly... but mainly, it's the
lyrics... where the streets have no name, it just sounds
like this perfect place where no one is judged, where there
is no sadness, or pain, and everyone is happy... I want to
go there... I think this song is so amazing, it touches me
deeply everytime I listen to it...

you make me laugh...

my fav. is probly none right now, i'm not digging anything
guitar oriented or non-electronic.

ACTUALLY, i have been getting into The Verve a bit,
especially 'Bittersweet Symphony'..i hated it until 2 weeks
ago, if you don't like it, give it a try, it grows like mad

Maybe.. D'Angelo-The Root

Chilled track with Hendrix inspired guitars.
D'Angelo sings like a god !!!!
I will never get bored with this song , or the album
"voodoo".

Quiet-Smashing Pumpkins

"Behind me,
Grace of falling snow.
Cover up, everything you know.
Come save me from this awful sound,
of nothing......"

It sums up pretty well my emotions, self made and
meaningless, queit yet dire. Once you look at it, there's
nothing to really worry about, fear nothing.

blackbird by the beatles (paul)... it makes me think of
death as being a release from pain, but in a very inviting
way...not that i wanna die any time soon, but when the time
comes i hope ill be ready...

take these broken wings and learn to fly...
all you life...
you were only waiting for this moment to arrive...

music...without electronics??

hmm...

ive always liked radiohead...like spinning plates live and
true love waits are great as far as acoustic songs go...but
there are many others like street spirit, paranoid android,
motion picture soundtrack, etc which are great but may still
be considered electronic (if you count elctric
guitars/effects)

the stuff harold budd and brian eno did with pianos is all
great...though most of it is processed electonically

and of course my sound by squarepusher is one of my favorite
songs ever...and its probably one of his least electronic
tracks

Well seeing as I'm a girl and can be quite the mushy
romantic at times (or pretty much any time, it's not hard to
get in that mood) it'd hafta be either The Luckiest or
possibly Magic by Ben Folds

in someone else's cd player. but i like to tell her she
stole it from me, and then i get very angry and say mean
things, and she cries, then later we both have a good laugh
about it.

just lying, i made that last part up myself

Miles davis- Flamingo sketches. it means good jazz to me.
No really it gives me goose bumps and evokes emotions of joy
with a hint of sadness. like good memories of friend that
has passed on.

my alltime fave non-electronica song must be "let down" by
radiohead. not that it's the most perfect song ever written,
it just means a lot to me. from back in the days, when stuff
weren't that...alright. oh, i love that song.

some of those syd songs are just so sad...especially jugband
blues and some of his solo work right after he left the
floyd. everytime i hear the fragmented melancholy on jugband
blues i get a tear in the corner of my eye.... his spirit
will live on, mate.

by the way, i read somewhere that he lived in cambridge, and
did a lot of painting. do you know anything ?

haha I really can't tell you what my favorite non-electronic
track is. There are too much of them. I guess I listen to
electronic music for 40 % and rock music 40% and 10% to some
other stuff. I'm in 3 different rock bands and I make
electronic music and I also listen to many other genres. So
it's very very hard for me to say what's my favorite
non-electronic track.
But if I had to choose I would probably say pardon me by
Incubus.
I was a big incubus fan for a very long time, I still am
actually and that song is so enormously good imo.
A lot of memories pop up when I put on that song. It makes
me happy and forget some of the difficulties in my life.
It's a really nice track!

my fav song ever is 'ruiner' by NIN... simply groundbreaking
imo. i always turn the volume up when it comes after
'closer'.

it's not electronica, but if it's still too electronic let's
say 'underneath the sky' by oasis. important affective value
to me...

Cornershop is good, I have all their albums except Hold on
it hurts. I listen to a whole bunch of stuff, hard rock ala
Tool, melvins, faith no more, deftones, helmet then
electronic stuff, then old stuff like led zeppelin, pink
floyd, hendrix, the who, then indie roock\punk like modest
mouse, pavement, fugazi, minor threat, bluetip, lungfish,
refused. I cant name all the different stuff i like tho.
