1. Upon hearing many great things about him, I've downloaded a load of Venetian Snares tracks. I'm not terribly impressed, but 1 track stands out- "Faust". It's brilliant, anyone else like it.
2. I've just bought Reich's "Music for 18 musicians" I like it, it's very good, but I can't help but feel I've paid £16 for 1 (admittedley very long) track.

1)same here I am very eager to hear vsnares..and when I heard it..it was kinda let down..I dont quite know..why..I mean it's harsh and corrosive (which I like) and extremely technically proficient..but..I will have to give it another try...is Dolls Dolls Dolls a pret good representation of his style?

yeah i don't think there is any real reason to liaten to anything from a technical point of view if you don't enjoy it - it's like listening to really good drum solos or guitar solos - boring and not very pleasuable or devoid of emotion and all skill
