I've upped a new, rather happy track to my site.
It's called "Sister Sister"
Let me know what you think of it.
Cheers.

there was some very nice drum programming, and occasionally
some nice instrumentation -- but i dono -- there was a lot
of overloaded FM-sounding synths in it that were cheesy and
distracting -- i would strip this track down, keep the
plaintive instruments, and remix the track to come in at
about 3 minutes...

woo, got it....

hehe, its done its job as a happy song - it made me smile! I
think maarlowe's comments are right, but dont be
dis-heartened, it's really cool. I love the xylophone/vibes
in the background at about the 4min marker and i love it
when the organ goes crazy!

Organs are cool, "craziness is heaven" (hendrix)

that untitled one is really coool too phatbert :-)

yeah, those 4 minute vibes were one of the instruments i was
talking about -- if phatbert keeps them and uses the nice
percussion, it would be really tight :) and yeah, his other
songs are great :)

woah!!! This IS a surprise! Thanks everyone. I love you
all!!!!!! ::starts to sob::

swingout sister, I think I remember them, weren't they some
British indie/rock band, or am I totally off the mark?

hey I just heard the track..and I agree with Marlowe..you
are excellent at programming drums..but some of the synth
sounds are a bit..um..much...but I love that toy piano
line...starting at around 1:17...the other two lines detract
from it's simple lovely charms...though the high mellotron
sounding sound that picks up the melody from the piano at
around 2:40 is excellent..too..

thanks man. I think I need to shorten it by about a minute
or so though. Some bits are a tad superfluous I'm beginning
to think.
And I think I'll have to change the ending, sounds a bit too
cheesy. I dunno, I just thought this while listening to it
again this morning.

Anyway I'm glad some of you like it :-)
