I watched City of Angels on tv tonight, and I almost
cried!!! It's a touching story and all, but come on, I'm a
man... I have stereotypes to uphold!!!

:)

i masturbated to Touched by an Angel... but i've told too
much...
actually that was just a dream, i've watched mulholland
drive too much lately

... i just watched Blue planet on the discovery channel, and
i think that i didn't even masturbate at all, even once...

I am a sap though... it's ridiculous... anytime I watch
romantic movies of any kind I get emotional... It's to the
point where I have to lock myself in my room to watch movies
with any kind of emotional content for fear that someone
might see me shed a tear... I suppose the ladies might like
this quality in me, but it hasn't shown itself useful yet...

I only cry at things that have to do with hockey... when the
Montreal Forum closed, that big ceremony made me cry.
Maurice Richard dying made me cry... Canada winning the gold
made me cry...

Most of all, Saku Koivu coming back from cancer made me a
sniffling little baby! The big ovation he got, it was like
15 minutes, the whole crowd was in tears and everything. And
now he's back on the ice after almost dying, and playing
amazing hockey and is one of the best players in the league,
what a warrior, it's almost too good of a story to be true.

Other than hockey, nothing seems to get to me... typical
Canadian. :-/

i cried harshly after dancer in the dark in the theatre, but
that's a pretty sad movie..my friend Julia took my hand,
that sounds so weak, but i had never seen a movie that just
blew a hole through me like that

Yeah, when I saw Pat Metheny Group in concert, it was so
powerful that I almost cried, but hey I was in the middle of
a big crowd, and I was sitting next to a pal of mine, (a
man) so I could absolutely NOT shed tears. Hey, I have to
be a man here... keep the tears back, only sissies cry. I
cried at my wedding, it was quite an emotional moment when I
read my words to my wife. All poignant and stuff. But NO
MORE!!!! I MUST BE A "REAL MAN"!!! no more crying for
joey...

offline Ross from Canada on 2002-05-06 06:11 [#00207550]
Points: 366 Status: Lurker

ah yes, the expectations that we have to be "real men" but
what is that anyway? i'm comfortable with crying if i feel
like it, it's not often, but i find now that things that
make me really happy can also make me teary eyed, the joy
and the beauty of them, like really good powerful music does
that..

Funkmaster you big girl! (no offence to any females =)), I
could have maybe let it pass if it was a good film but that
film was TERRIBLE! I was made to endure it on a plane ride
to america and it was just so bad, Nic Cage is such an
overacter and every film meg ryan is in has some 'romantic'
element. I thought it was quite amusing when she got hit on
her bike.

On the otherhand, I cried when I saw My Girl at the cinema
and McCauley Culkin died, I always remember that. mind I was
quite young.

Don't worry yourself Funkmaster.

I'm sposed to be a guy, but I have a pain threshold so low
its insaine, can't spend longer than two minutes in any room
that might be the slightest cold, and don't like movies
where relationships are broken. I haven't even named my
penus, even though a couple of my girlfriends have tried.
