found this mp3 on soulseek, tho i actually used to have it until i lost all my hard drive's contents in summer 2000. it's from the old aphextwin.org site, someone uploaded an mp3 of a song they supposedly got off a tape from richard d. james's car (stolen i guess?). download it (2:53 128kbps), i'd like to hear some opinions on it. personally i didn't question its legitimacy when i first had it, but two years later i'm pretty sure it's an (undocumented) hoax. |

yeah, I've had that for a while.... it does sound like early(ish) AFX to me; kinda like GAK meets Bradley Strider sounding...but I guess there's no way of knowing for sure.... Nice little track reagrdless tho.... |

That kickass Violin solo track is def a fake... Can't recall the correct artist but I know 100% it's not Aphex... Neither is that Rober Miles/Aphex duet....that's by Torley Wong... There's a section over at the JOYREX.COM messageboard if you wanna know more about the above... |

It never came from his car - it came from a cassette that Richard gave one of his friends, as he used to do long ago (obviously he's much more selective about who he gives tapes to now ;O] ) |
