I remember playing a game called Clock Tower for PSX a
number of years ago and it scared the shit out of me, and i
just got it a couple days ago. That game will freak you
out. There is Clock Tower II, but i haven't played it.

What are some of your favorites of the Survival-Horror
genre?

Play Clive Barker's Undying in the dark with a good sound
system. It scared the shit out of me.

Resident Evil 1 may not be the best, but it has special
meaning, it started everything... I love that one, I
remember every scene. And it wasn't too over the top, the
idea of being alone in a mansion was cool. Got a little
wacky at the end, just like movies tend to do... but the
start was just so classic.

Never played Clock Tower, and I never really got play much
of the Silent Hill games...

I should really rent Silent Hill 2 for PS2 soon... I almost
never play my PS2, it's just collecting dust, plus, like I
said, I need to get into Silent Hill. It looks good, I just
haven't been able to play them yet.

No it didn't (start everything)!
The Alone in the Dark series did on PC several years before
RE1!
The guy who made them just got a "lifetime achievement"
award at some games ceremony in recognition of his creation
of the survival horror genre.

It may be because I was younger when I played it, but the
AITD2 is the one that scared me most.

I do like the "helpless" feeling you get when playing
Resident evil though...

Resident Evil I, and II [these kick ass, nice games... good
little puzzles, nice violence, good "jumping" scenes, were
you jump outta your seat sometimes, good sound effects and
decent music for mood setting, graphix are good too for the
ps1].

Silent Hill 1 and 2, are just amazing, so scary, wicked
graphix for its time[s], especially #2. Awsome story lines,
awsome beasts and characters, good violence, VERY
disturbing, VERY scary and VERY nerve wracking. 100%
garunteed reccomendation here...

The original Survival-Horrors must be 'It came from the
desert' I and II from Cinemaware (you can download them
here).

Those were really scary when they came. Haunting violin
music and all.

Sorry, I always played "Boulderdash" on my spectrum, not
rockfall :(

There were some mad games of this type towards the end of
the spectrum's life. There's one in particulr that was
brilliant, I'm trying to remember it...

I'm pretty good at these (Rockfall clone) games so if you're
still stuck in a few hours, email me the rom and I'll get
past there for you :)
