Fruity Loops 3: Tremendous!

I just recently got Fruity Loops 3, and let me tell you,
it's great! Much easier and more-fun to use than Fruity
Loops 2. I'm sure I probably wasn't the only one who was
hooked on Fruity Loops 2, but 3 is well-worth the upgrade!

i only know fruityloops 3.4, and yes, it's great -
especially in conjunction with a programme like Cool Edit
Pro 1.2a -- one thing tho' - how do i get an old-time
effect? like in Geogaddi?

With plugins? I'm not really familiar with 3 that much
yet--but I'm sure it can be done.
On my synth, I can get cool old-time effects by moving the
cutoff down and the depth up

yeah - i'm gonna fiddle with the EQ too - but i think that
might be too unsubtle -- if anyone knows of a plugin for
this, please tell!

If anyone watches the Fast Show, you'll be familliar that
desipte the age of the show, they have the BEST old time
effects ever used, which adds to the whole comedy of the
show. In the USA it's called Brilliant!. Well, is there a
plugin that is packed full of old effects for getting
diffrent sounds, ala 70's style, 80's style, 50's style,
ect? They must have had a simm8ilar thing but in video form.
Either that or they used the same cameras that the oldies
used.

Oh it's a DX effect but that also works in Fruityloops...

U can also sample some of your ol'folks vinyl records for
more authentic sound ,..crunch,.crackle,.hiss,..crunch.

But uhm ,when your lazy izotope's plugin is just fine.

I used it on a song thats bout to be released.

i just found a copy of 3.4. the only thing i like about it
compared to 3.3 is that it has the layering thing.

havent really messed around with the new math thingy
controller. that might be neet but it seems kinda cheesey
too.

the chorus is cool too.

get yourself a copy of cool edit though man you need it for
editing the fruit sounds. and maybe even try to find some
native waves plug in packs. they are expensive but you can
download them off of soulseek. get the gold pack.

FLoops 3.3? It doesn't work wherever I put it...

I don't like FL 3.4 cause the sound font player and wasp and
nearly everything else is a demo...Any one know of a way fix
this? I've already tried the usual search, but nothing...

there's layers in 3.3 or at least the one I have does..
I really dig WASP..my only gripe is that you cant save the
settings with a song..have to re tweak the whole lot each
time you load it up...

so, far the changes are a bit minor...i'd check the homepage
to see if it worth upgrading...

3.4 has sound font player, but it's a damn demo so you can
save any of the pattern you make with it...If someone knew
how to un-demo it it would be the the same as 3.0 but with
more features...

offline marlowe from Antarctica on 2002-05-05 08:40 [#00206077]

i un-demoed the soundfont player -- search the astalavista
network for "soundfont player" -- i might upload it to my
site, too -- cos i couldn't find it again when i looked for
my lil brother

i have zipped up the files for the SF PLAYER (as far as i
can remember!) it's just over half a MB; hopefully my shit
modem will not time-out, and my godawful computer won't
crash, which it has done twice in the 30 minutes i have been
on it! :( cross your fingers!
