its the bnp - they are dangerous people who dwell on peoples fears and hate like vultures - the leader all have criminal convictions and they are really unpleasant people. It's really sad - i blame the economic situation in towns like burnley where there is no investment in housing and manufacturing which is the main economy ofthe town is slowly disappearing - the colour or religion of a person shouldn't make a difference but hard up people sometimes don't see the wood from the trees - this is what the bnp exploit |

Spot on Astrid. I think they have 3 seats. This is the first time since 1993 in London. People no longer see the centrist parties as offering a solution to social and economic problems and they don't see the power they have and so vote for the far-right. People need to be offered an alternative. |

Yeah, they're Nazis plain and simple. The alternative? People determining their won lives through their own organisation. We have enormous power. If only we were to use it. General strikes and physically taking control of the resouces and the means of production are the only way to truly begin to organise our lives and our society. If we don't we'll be stuck with the status quo or worse. Why should we let a small elite own and control everything and take out of our hands the right to determine our own destinies? |

It doesn't have to involve violence. The state have the armed police and military, and for good reason. Any democratic uprising is always met with brutality from the state e.g. Churchill sending the troops into Tonypandy to break a miner's strike. More people died during the making of Eisenstein's film of the Russian Revolution than the Revolution itself. |

Violence to overthrow an unjust system is nothing in comparison to the violence of our elites. Its ok to bomb Iraq for oil but not ok to use violence for just causes and to end human suffering. |

I just think that if it had to be violent (rather than democratically elected) a new government/method of rule wouldn't neccesarily be what the majority of people want and therefore as bad as the current lot. I'd be all for a properly elected centre-left communist party. |

I'm a Trotskyist. Violence to end suffering is not a contradiction. Violence must be used in some cases to stop the elites doing what they do. For example if Israeli troops are massacaring the people of your communities and bulldozing your homes you can't have a peaceful dialogue. you must rise up. As Malcolm X said: By any means necessary. Its the goal that is important. The goal of state violence is to protect property or increase profit (e.g. oil pipelines in the Middle East), violence of a people rising up against such states is legitimate as its aim is to end the most wrethced form of violence and the violence that kills the most people. |

They're from the album "let us play" the one with the track "atomic moog 2000" on. They're not commies, they're just general anti government types, but there are communist sentiments in both these songs... They're really good- it's an excellent album. |
