If you had the chance to work for Celine Dion, would you do
it?

The opportunity has presented itself to me... but I think I
will have to let it slide.

I guess as long as you didn't have to look at her or hear
her it might be ok.

cooks. i Know someone who is going to be the personal chef
to the madam dion, and i asked him if he might need some
help sometime... and he said yes, enthusiastically....

well, I mean if someone was interested in a career in music,
working with Celion Dion, no matter how much her music
sucked, would be a way to get a foot in the door...

Im not into music, but being a chef for celine dion would
look good on a resumé. the guy was telling me about her
house and all that... it sounds totally incredible. But
like I said before, I'm moving soon, so I won,t be able to
work here in montreal. oh well... he's responsible for a
dinner for the prez of sony records as well as jean
chrétien later this summer.

hell no...wait yea i would. i'd feed her all kinds of stuff
that would ruin her vocal chords, then maybe she'd sound
better...seen and not heard ;P

Joey, you seem to have lost your light hearted sense of
humour the past few weeks, is something troubling you?

GO for it Joey!
As a chef you will have to cook for all sorts of people.
Where is the dilema here???Celine Dion is just another
person. I guess there might even be a bit more satisfaction
actually knowing the person who you are going to feed rather
than jsut a namelss customer. However, it could suck if all
she eats is limited diet food. But what the fuck go for it
my man.

i dont see how being her chef would be a 'foot in the
door'...she must have a lot of people doing things for her,
do you think she will offer music related work for you all?
i cant really see the head of warp records (or what ever
music u like) to say "yeah lets sing this joey fellow, he
was celine dions' chef".
But if your ambition is to become a great chef, then its a
start....since youll only be cheffing for one person you can
have lots of free time to cater for other celebs...mabey

hm. celine dion. Richard should remix a song of her. that
would be funny!

Why can't you decide this yourself, Joey? Is it a big moral
issue for you to cook food for a weak and thin Canadian
woman? I don't understand what the dilemma is.

really expected serious answers here? ;)

(btw - i´d go, you can´t get anything better for a resume
if you wanna be a cook man - this is meant serious!)

Ceri, I'm saying stuff with my tongue planted firmly in my
cheek...

Krendo, There is not moral Issue here. I never said there
was. I never even asked anyone to decide for me. I was
just interested in hearing what people might have to say
about this opportunity that I have.

I am moving away in three weeks and will not be able to do
the job. I'll probably be working in a hospital or a cobalt
mine cooking cafeteria food for patients or geologists,
pretty boring food, but so much money I'll be confused with
what to do with it all.

In that case, I think you should work for her. Ask her what
the hell that Titanic shit was all about. She probably hates
her own music as well, and listens to 'Go Plastic' all day
long whilst fiddling with her synthesizers.

What's wrong with working for Celine Dion? No respect for
anyone who's music you don't like? If it's a good job
opportunity I say jump on it.

offline uzim on 2002-05-03 17:53 [#00204823]

it's not fully a question of respect... you can respect a
person without wanting to work for him/her, it's just if the
job suits you or not imo!

offline uzim on 2002-05-03 17:57 [#00204828]

if you don't like her music and people always ask you what
you think of her work, you having to listen to it, etc...

If she paid me enough, hell yes! and this coming from the
person who regards her as one of his least favourite
singers. I despise her.

besides, you only live once
