interesting layers.....I like the way the feel changes throught the song...I sort arrange in the same way....beats with a pseduo classical sorta feel.... |

very nice..marlowe..crunchy beats..unpreditable changes..lovely melodies..my only gripe is that the lead melody is mixed a bit too high and loud and kinda overshadows the rest very intricate and delicate stuff you have got goin on... yeah so many shifts and canges it's like a bloody mini epic...quite quite good:) |

I like it. It's up to your usual high standards. Nice the way some notes have a sitar kind of "twang" reverb to them. Works well with the choir. Good Stuff. |

marlowe, I have to admit I didn't like the first 54 seconds at all with that Nintendoey squeaky sound but after that it just gets better and better. The voices in the background work extremely well and give the track a great atmosphere. If you chose a different sound at the beginning (I hope I'm not slagging off one of your soundfonts) It'd be a brilliant track. checking yours out now Ceri... |

Vanilla Hub is nice, spacey. I can't really think about much to say about it other than I like it. It's very simple but it works well. Nice :-) |

I'm working on a new version of it called the "Purity Mix" Basically I've extended it a bit, taken out the flute and made the violins sound more like real ones. I've also made the ending a bit better (IMO). I'm considering writting it out as 3 parts for a violin then getting a friend to record it... |

THe 1st 4 notes were really great, I can picture autechre taking these notes and making something like the first track on ep7. Together, they express a sort of mellow feeling or something. The whole thing switched around in different directions slowly. It was pretty interesting but the parts composing it were somewhat big in timescale compared to something like marion by michael fakesch. I like the use of melody though. some of the best melodies I've heard are from this little polygon turtle that makes music under www.mp3.com/imaginary if you havn't heard it, it helped me a lot in understanding and liking melody. the end was... comically unlike anything a typical aphex listener would normally create and more like... elevator music? Great job with that! heh heh, it was funny. |

i like all the different phases it goes through..... nicely unpredictable! and the echoey ambient voices type sounds in the middle sound very well done... i REALLY like the way it changes so drastically so often... the final phase is a funny touch:) |

FUNNY?! that was meant to be emotional and touching!!! don't you realise that the last thing she says is "i can't go on..." (volume has to be up pretty high) and then it ends! i knew that lovely production touch would be overlooked! :O ...but seriously, thanx for the two reviews hombres - i will try to check out that person's MP3 page wMw, altho i probably use a different melodic structure (learnt from some old classical music book on melody, harmony, and composition found in an old school) :) |
