Why all those comperisations with TRADITIONAL MUSIC genres ? Ist just Electronic music...........but I dont think Gantz Graf has much in common with Death Metal. Id say Death Metal is more melodic than Gantz Graf....

I agree Cygnus, it's direct,no pussying around with pretencious noodles, Monoid is being contradictory 'cos he's got nothing better to do.

I think that the sound is even more essential to the music than the musical notation/data (i.e. samples versus MIDI)
therefore I'd have to disagree; although some of the melodies have some of the organised dissonance of "death metal" (I'm assuming you're talking about stuff like Emperor, Testament, etc.) I think that the notation taken out of context would create something completely different.
in art, I believe the meaning (i.e. notation) is inseparable from the form (instruments/sounds).
on the other hand, maybe this is just me, but cap.iv makes me think of films about vietnam.

oh. i wasn't talking about meaning and stuff.
just that the speeding, ripping metallic percussion sounds like it could've been adapted by the drumming of music like that. and plus some other stuff in the song.

well...sorta. i mean you could draw "real" instrument parallels to most IDM.
but it is a lot quicker and more percussive than most Autechre, yes.

Nooo, because I hate METAL, and because, I think such a comperisation downgrades Electronic Music..........Such a comperisaions could come from people who say things like "Yeah i like some techno too"........

well, gantz graf is very noisy in that there is a lot going on, but it's complex and aranged noise, where as the noise in really hard metal is just high distortion. they both make for a very "hardcore" feel, but the comparison is a bit superficial imo.
