i got this cd the other day, its a mini cd. It says "V/VM -
HelpAphexTwin/1.0 we dont give a shit... hat 1"

on the back it says:
winduckquacker
naval buy balm 3.1a
bouncing brinnington meat+hagballs
laughing all the way to his tank
hentolyn goose-fat/ rub^scratch/
hoegaarden slop itch
if i were a rickyham

the front cover has a collage of his face, and the back
looks like a distorted richard d james cover...

the cd itself is all brown

anyone know what this is? i wasnt under the discogrophy
section on here...

?

It's not by Aphex as such...

it's by V/VM... this guy(s) who does these weird mixes of
all sorts of stuff; lame pop shite mostly...

It's all a bit of a Art Prank really...kinda funny in
concept but the tracks themselves are, well, a bit crap...

That's not actually an Aphex Twin CD, it's a "remix" thing
by V/Vm. And it's shit, as I'm sure you've found out.

im new to this site...

my name is matt and i go to the berklee college of music in
boston.

its a contemporary music school, focusing mainly on jazz,
but they also have a real good synthesis department here
too.

im majoring in Composition (contemporary, avant garde, non
tonal etc) and Synthesis.

Looks like most of you guys are from britian?

Zeus...you might like em; approach em with an open mind...
V/VM present themselves as kinda Avant Garde Pop so as long
as your expecting it to sound too much like AFX you won't be
dissapointed (I know AFX himself is a bit of fan of
V/VM...)...

No, not everyone is British...there's a pretty good mix of
nationalities on the board...Welcome BTW; we're a pretty
friendly bunch...

heh...this topic is sort of like a game...every few weeks
...some new person comes on and starts a thread "unknown
aphex cd" or something of the sort...and inquires about some
"help aphex twin" album
they found in the afx rack at the store...and then the
regulars of the board all race to be the first poster who
gets to boast their trainspotter skills and say "its not
aphex twin...its v/vm!!"

i lost this time...but just you wait!
