Soory, I don't get that, turn it how far and which way
(clockwise/anti clockwise). The guy who designed it said it
was just a morph of the letters "A" and "F"

Nope, Joyrex met the guy who designed it and he said it was
a fusion of A and F.

Ceri JC: well whatever BOYJEX said it doesnt matter, its

his face or anything.

I always thought that...the face thing, that is...It's a
pretty uncanny likeness of him when he was younger...very
stylised but the face seemed pretty obvious to me...

but I actually spoke to the guy who designed it and he said
there wasn't any real reasoning behind it all; not a face,
not a DJatWork symbol, not an A or a T etc.....just a logo
he produced by messing around with letters/shapes...

He's the same guy who did the Aphex Twin SAWII font...

Its actually a Celtic symbol. I saw it carved on a rock on a
mountain in North Wales. It pre-dates the Acid House
revolution of 1988 and is thought to be the symbol of a clan
who lived by entertaining local serfs with crazy percussive
music in the 17th century.

believe you. not the issue here.. it looks like a fuckin a
and an f..... or a stylish A,,, its either an A or AF..
nothing else

you are a fucking nationalist, man. Do you attend those
annual meetings where welsh people invent new words for new
technologies etc. so they don't have to import foreign words
into welsh?

Reflex: That's what the guy said & was the creator of
it....I heard so many different version of what it was over
the yrs that I thought I'd get in contact and find out from
the horse's mouth...

Like most good logos, there's an element of ambiguity about
it...

It's like the Nike swoosh -- there's no special meaning
behind it, it was just designed on a whim to look cool and
resemble and "A".

I guess it can be whatever to whoever... it does seem to
make most sense as an A and F though...
