Should have some pukka quality rips of the Schottkey7thPath video from 3LUX3 and the Aegeoplis Video from FUTURE SHOCK sometime in the next couple of weeks...
We've just got a new suite of G4 Macs in our Video editting suite at work so should will be doing some proper Rips from the VHS originals....the versions 've had from the net have all been a bit fucked so hopefully these will turn out a lot better...
Anyone got any prefereces for the format?...I'm thinking .MPGs would be best, at full VHS resoultion; that seems to be the format that the most people can view ok on most machines (Macs, PCs & LINUX)...Haven't created any MPGs before, so has anyone got any decent links for some background info on how to do it well?..
(I've also got a camcorder version of the full MonkeyDrummer video..it goes on for around 30secs longer than the EDIT version I had..I need to sort out the file as it crashs certain machines at the moment but should be able to get this done in next few days - I'll post again when it's up for dl...)...

MPG would be fine i think,DivX would offer better compression, but i don't know if that'll work on diff. platforms.
PS: Now I will have to camp out here and hit refresh every 30 secs. until you post a link, damn you :)

no problem...Like I say, MD should be up in next day or so...
the others are gonna be a couple of weeks or so...will post here as soon as they ready for dl...
the addy is the same as usual...E me if you haven't got it - j@g3rm.org ... not sure what videos I've got on there at mo...
sponk: yeah, DIVX is pretty good; I did the DVD RIP of MonkeyDrummer(EDIT) that way and it turned out fine...I'll probably give em both a try MPG & DIVX and see how they compare - I'm not too concerned with filesize really; quality is what I'm after....

Please don't use DIVX - it's a nightmare to get it to work on macs. mpeg or .mov would be great - i think everyone would be happy w/ that. Are you planning on making clips of come to daddy or windowlicker?

MPG it is...
I think there are already good digital versions of CTD & Windowlicker so probably won't be doing those...you can find em on Soulseek easy enough...

I reckon MPG would be best, though DivX would be okay too.

lol I just saw the Come to Daddy video. I dled it. That was great! I can't see how thats so controversial though. I say if MTV can play marylin manson stuff they can show a white guy coming out of a tv set and screaming at a lady. But oh noo...we don't want to show electronic music.. no that won't get good ratings boo hoo.
That was a cool video. I liked how all the girls had Rich's face on them :) Stunning.
