bad one.

Lisa LISA 'LEFT EYE' LOPES DEAD

R&B singer Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes has been killed in a car
crash in Honduras.

The 31-year-old member of the trio TLC was on holiday when
the accident happened.

Lopes, who was reportedly with seven other occupants in the
car but was the only fatality in the accident, had recently
completed recording of TLC's fourth album. She was also
establishing herself as a solo artist under the name NINA,
which stood for New Identity Non-Applicable, and had signed
to Suge Knight's Tha Row label.

Arista Records president L A Reid, who helped to launch TLC,
paid tribute to Lopes. He said: "No words can possibly
express the sorrow and sadness I feel for this most
devastating loss. Lisa was not only a gifted and talented
musical inspiration, but more importantly, she was like a
daughter to me. My thoughts and prayers are with Lisa's
family and friends. Her legacy will be remembered forever."

With fellow TLC members Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda
"Chilli" Thomas, Lopes was best known for the international
hit singles 'Waterfall' and 'No Scrubs'. She also hit the UK
number one spot with Spice Girl Mel C on 'Never Gonna Be The
Same Again'.

i was never a fan of their music.
you know that six degrees of seperation thing.
my friend's cousin met her at the airport and had a five
minute conversation with her while waiting for a flight.

the world is small, and cruel.

I agree about R&B being crappy. The genre has popped out a
few good songs though.
It sucks she dead, but I don't feel sympathy...

heh....a week ago you guys would (or anyone else) probably
be saying shit like "i fucking hate TLC and especially that
**** lisa lefteye...blabla." But once they're dead, they're
like the biggest music stars that has ever lived. it's the
same thing every time. and think about what this does with
sales of TLC records...

(i'm not writing this to be controversioal or something. i
just wanted to share my opinion on this matter)

I never liked the music of TLC or Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopez, by
anymeans, but I do have a tremendose amount of respect for
life, and believe any loss of it is a tragedy.
