k, firstly, ive only just recently gotten into rdjs
music... as in, in the past 3-4 months or so.. and i only
just got drukqs about 2 weeks ago. but thats irrelevant. ive
been listening to it, and is it just me, or do a few of the
songs sound very similar/perhaps part of one big song? i
dunno.. maybe i'm insane, or just paranoid. actually, im
probably both, either way, does anyone else notice any of
this? maybe i just need to listen harder.
another irrelevant thing: i also bought icbyd and im happy
with it, but drukqs didnt really do it for me... UNTIL i
listened to it while on nitrous as the dentist... it was an
orgasmic experience. i cant wait till i can listen to it on
some other..uh.. drukqs.. haha yea i know that puns been
done before. ill shut up now.

drukqs is a rather large puzzle, the first piece can be
found by just looking at the cd art

i probably shouldnt say the "first" necessarily

its one of them and i still dont understand it

agreed.. but what im askin is, is the music itself a jigsaw
puzzle that we're supposed to peice together? i.e. with a
mixing program, etc.

I think your looking way too deep into the album Drukqs. I
just take it for a mediocre CD that doesnt interest me in
anyway. Previous CDs he has done some small little "funny"
things on the inside and such, but nothing big. Your just
looking too deep for something. Its not a puzzle, its a half
assed AFX CD.

it's a very mediocre CD relative to richard

he just mixed a few of his fave (probably modified for the
album) percusion heavy tracks in with a variety of other
selections he's done throughout a long period. this is bcos
he lost that mp3 player and was afraid someone would put the
tracks on the internet and (quote): "fuck my earnings for
the next decade"

i kinda agree with you.
i have recently started a new remix of several tracks on
this album. (see "sulektedambientwerks" and "helm" by
golgiApparatus on this site)
anyway i have noticed that i do not have to do a lot of
pitch changing to mix samples from different songs off
drukqs; i.e. many of them are written in the same key.

got to agree with reflex, even though i seem to be compelled
not to. second rate album. check the review in rolling
stone. slightly harsh but round about right.

It's far from his best work, only enoghf good tracks to fill
one cd imo, that's why my drukqs mix is so much better!
ICBYD is his best, of course.

well, overall, drukqs isnt that great... i mean, it doesnt
completely suck, but the songs i like, i like alot. (i.e.
that afx v.7 song-- i just wish he woulda played around with
that voice saying "aaaaaphexxxx" more) btw, i saw this movie
clip of an ad of some sort for drukqs and the beginning
(when it says aaaphexxx twice) is played.. and theres this
creepy lookin human thing... freaky shit.. only like 30
seconds long, so if you have kazaa, etc, try findin it...

and i feel speshul cuz people replied to my thread :)

Drukqs is a bunch of tracks, it's not an album. There is
some nice tracks but none of it moved me anyway
particularly. I don't think it's shit or great.

AFX could kill with his music. I have strange feelings about
druqks. really strange love to this record. the difference
from druqks to the other albums when i'm listening to it is
that i dont feel save, i'm kind of scared but i like it.

Mt Saint Michel Mix is my favorite of drukqs. At the end
when the music is very choppy, i wonder if it can give you a
seziure. flashing lights, choppy music, what's the
differents?
