I used to fucking hate this track! I listened to the full thing earlier this morning, couldn't get it outta my head all day, and now I love it! I guess i just had to listen to it for real instead of skimming through it? What are you guys' thoughts on it? |

....aaaaah, Ventoline, yet another classic aphex-track! Years back, when Ventoline was first released, I worked in this kindergarten where I used to play lots of different electronica and make up fairytales along with it. The first time I played Ventoline for the kids I made up this story about a shark, and they loved it!!! For weeks after that they just went "play the shark song, play the shark song!!!". I almost drove the other employees crazy... The kids in that kindergarten also loved to dance to "classics", by aphex twin... I wonder what they listen to now.... |

I think I like it but I listen to Aphex at work most of the time so its on my head phones.... That track will just disturb evertone and I'll get told off so I always skip through it. :( I've never given it a chance...... (sniff) (boo hoo) |

Kids are great! They're not so prejudgemental when it comes to music. My two year old nephew loves all kinds of electronica. His current fave is Squarepusher : ) |

pardon me i'm still a bit numb after recovering from a failed suicide attempt i just had to comment on this thread because VENTOLIN is my all time fave song of all time. i didn't even actually have to hear the real thing before i fell in love with it. at my first job about 5 years ago i worked in a del taco and i had to open along with a manager that was a rehire. he was one of the top three coolest people i have ever met in my whole entire 22 years on this forsaken planet. i had just started to discover the beautiful wonderful world that is RDJ and noticed on the back window of his truck he had the tint removed in a horizontal strip with an aphex twin sticker inside of the clear strip. so he did a VENTOLIN remix on the taco bar with a metal spatula and some other sort of tool like thing we used and i had never heard VENTOLIN before that and he never said it was VENTOLIN he was all like let's work afx stylee and started this fuckin' rad ass beat with the metallic utensils i was amazed. then when i bought my first RDJ release ICBYD i knew that was the song he was doing that day. |
