I’m guessing he’s genuine. Mind you I haven’t watched the whole vid. That contra person seemed to appreciate the vid. And to answer your question: yes. Until not too long ago, as you know, racism was openly taught in schools for example. Today still “knee-jerk racism” is rife. The fear of the “other culture” is something you could argue is institutionalised to some degree as well. What do you think of the rumours about black Pete being gay btw? |

Racism is astroturfed to divide and conquer. Youtube detroit gangs/crime, it's horrible and mostly black people living there, but the enemy is government preventing them from homesteading their own land which would allow them to live for nearly free so they aren't forced to rent an apartment which requires money from selling drugs, which the government made illegal. So those who sell drugs can't use the government legal system if someone wrongs them, since doing so would admit to drug dealing themselves. The problem is criminals in centralized full spectrum monopoly control of everything. |

You know about racism - Either society accepts racist Ideas, so there is no need to no-platform racists, because everybody is already a racist. Or, society is anti-racist, so racist speech wont be accepted anyway and there is no need for hate speech bans or no-platforming. In my opinion a huge part of society is racist. Its up to you if you want to be a racist. No hate speech bans will convince people not be racists. It is your choice. |

Institutional racism obviously exists, especially on the Internet. Take, for example, the electronic music discussion forum WATMM: since WATMM exists in a society with a vast racial wealth disparity—$171,000 vs $17,600 for whites and Blacks, respectively—and the webmaster of said forum charges users an annual membership fee, people of color are far less likely to be able to afford the costs of becoming a member of community. The policies of this website serve to exclude African Americans and maintain an overwhelmingly white userbase. I've contacted the administration of the website multiple times about their policies but have been consistently ignored. The only conclusion I can draw is this: Joyrex is a racist and his hosting provider (Linode) and domain registrar (DreamHost) are complicit in his vile actions. |
