Can you feel the warm gayness of these tracks I made?

slave ship

I'm on song 2 and really liking it, mellow but constantly
creative, ie. quite non-copy paste loopy. But its not as
random as windchimes or anything, just sounds like melody
done the "right" way which sounds good to a human brain,
which seems to be sort of letting the brain
imagine/improvise. The brain sort of automatically makes
structures that are similar but unique, like with some
symmetry but not too much.

Do you start by making the entire, say, violin or whatever
part, then when that's done add the entire song's piano or
whatever part on top of the violin etc?
It seems melancholy like watching a cabin's chimney lazily
smoke from kind of afar in non-scary woods

Glad you could enjoy it.

I started in all cases with a simple melody or rough motif
and then improvised on the basis of that for 4-5 minutes,
usually using a piano-sound. Then I did the same thing for
the next instrument. So yes: the enire piano part, the
entire flute part, and so on.

Also "symmetry but not too much" is actually what I was
aiming for when I improvised on the basis of simple motifs.
The reference to "non-scary woods" is also apt because I
take walks through the forest a lot and notice that there's
nothing threatening going on there.

Good question. I logged in one day and it was gone, and I
considered it too antiquated to upload it again. ... Glad
that you were receiving the foresty vibes

shivelights is a good word for that sort of thing

“the lances of sunshine that pierce the canopy of a
wood”

i dont mean jazz in a denigrative way, actually like jazz
music. thus interesting to me. that 'jazz' you hear in
electronic music though, i mean like the actual playing of
chords that don't interact, that they're just an end in
itself, i dislike that kind of jazz too

Almost; I uploaded very similar tracks (made using a very
similar method) to soundcloud a few years ago.

I like it that you like them. And that they don't evoke
disgust, hatred and pity

I turned up the gayness a few notches and used new-agey
synthesizers and feminine chord-progressions now

well the song is gone, i wanted to hear that again before
commenting, but if i was you i would insist on that jazzy
vein. really something not heard before/stands out of
context.
