it's just because your computer can't handle it. Mininum of
256mb RAM is required if you want it running smooth.

xp works fine (looks good too). it's stable, not as stable
as win2000 though. WinMe is the worst OS ever however.

is supposed to be one of the most stable opperating systems
out there. supposebly will never crash altogether only
crash programs. but it doesnt like my hardware cause none
of it was made for xp it was made back in 98. ive tried
updates on the web but no help yet.

I love the interface, but I don't know that it's worth the
system lock-ups. Least stable version of Windows I've used
yet.

runs swift as any o/s ive ever used

of it. fans.

rgb: you are allowed to go in and fuck about with the
hardware more than you can with a mac

I trust you know what you're talking about, but I don't have

clean as building a desktop.

ah. well, with the newer ones it's really easy. if you're
talking about iMacs, then yeah. you can't change a thing
with those. my G4 quicksilver's pretty wicked. it's got a

windows from macs, but then again, steve jobs stole mac from
the guy that headed up xerox, he had a program called gooey

been getting driver errors up the arse... im beginning to
think microsoft intentionally made it impossible to switch

... or maybe i just suck at tweaking operating systems,
i dunno

Cygnus, haven't had any problems burning cds? Windows, Nero
and GoldenHawk all fail to burn for me with XP. The only
prog that'll work is HPs piece of shit user-friendly
software that doesn't allow one to remove the two second
gaps. My hard drive is completely full and I'm getting
quite irritated with the situation.

dont use those programs :0 they're gross

make sure "enable cd recording on this drive" is clicked
under the drives properties

http://www.fireburner.com/ <-- freeware + designed with
speed in mind, works better than the likes of nero

GoldenHawk is superb, are you sure you know what you think
you know you're knowing? I've prefered it to all the
software I've used up til XP came along and disrupted my
smooth music stealing experience.

Thnx, I'll try that prog.

I hate XP.

Microsoft has effectively written an opperating system that
is so idiot proof that only an idiot can use it.

Its USELESS to anyone with the slightest inkling of what
they are supposed to be doing on a computer.

Respect?

Windows XP is the best thing since sliced bread. Windows XP
Pro is far more stable than any other version of Windows.
Windows XP cannot be less stable than Windows 2000, as the
technology was built on that platform upwards...

Actually...i have a AMD/K6-2 350Mhz 3dNow w. 96 MB RAM...old
crappy puter...
now this is what i run best
Windows 98: Runs rairly good. Crashes often, but can
handle all programs and games. Can't run DivX movies without
jitter..
Windows ME: Runs ok. Doesnt crash as often as 98, and
has all the great functions. My PC is faster with ME, but
still can't run DivX without jitter.
Windows 2000: Fucks up the entire system!
Windows XP: Now heres something interesting. Runs ok.
Has great functions. Great design. Runs all the old programs
and RUNS DIVX WITHOUT JITTER!. Thats all good you should
think, until I found out that XP uses 2GB as a swap file!
Plus it became really unstable after 2 months.

now i'm back to Windows 98 =(
