I know this question has been asked before, but since there
are a lot of new members since then.... Do you see certain
images in your head when you listen to aphex twin? If yes,
what do you see?

i do when i listen to most music, but not aphex,
strangely....except mt st michael, then i sort of imagine
all the stuff as it goes along, and zigomatic, i imagine
little bubbles for each of the bips...its hard to explain

Sorry, nothing for that one... Okay, Mt Saint Michel + St
Michaels Mount...

The last bit where it goes all floaty and shit with the
woman singing the "laaa laaaa" bit then it starts to break
it all up through sharp pauses... It kinda looks like a
concept to me. Its as if the mellow bit signifies peace and
all of that, but it can be destroyed so easy.... hence the
crazy drums and pauses. Maybe its just me.

Come To Daddy...near the middle. *RECOMMENDATION*

Dont drive whilst listening to the part where that
AAAAAAAAAAGHGAHGGGRH comes in... dunno why but I have a
horrible image of doing 100mph through a town centre...
nasty stuff.

yeaaaah,
it's so agressive.
full of energy.
i think i behave weird while walking on the street and
listenin to that kinda stuff.
i really wanna hit something or just run fast.
or i just walk like dancing...
it's strange, i don't see any images while listenin to
music, but i've noticed i try to dance even when lying. i
just have to move a part of my body to better listenin to
music...
it may be a toe, a finger, my belly or something.

It's been said before, so I'm stealing someone's idea, but I
read it here and now it invades my mind:

''4'' makes me think of a day in the park or something, and
everyones moving super fast or jerky or something... cool
stuff.

Klavbdung Michsk makes me think of someone stalking me in a
clock tower or something... yikes.

I always see imagery in my head when I listen to good music.
Here are some examples:

Blue Calx - walking alone in the yukon, at twilight, with
the wind blowing snow drifts around

Grey Stripe - being trapped in an icy crevasse, it's
extremely cold, and there are black shadows moving in the
corners of my eyes, and i know i'm in trouble.

Rhubarb - a sunset at a beach

Parallel Stripes - Racks and racks of machinery and
electronic equipment humming away in some dark underground
facility

Digeridoo - someone being chased by something predatory in a
lush jungle

Avril 14th - snow lightly falling in a quaint european town,
with little houses all lit up for christmas

Btotumn Rotunda - A big parade on a bright sunday morning
with church bells ringing

Next Heap With - military people being given a motivational
speech by their commander, with the knowledge of their
imminent death in battle

Speed Challenge:

Attempt to keep your speed within the speed limit and not
hit anyone whilst in a built up area listening to "Poison"
by the Prodigy.

Next Heap With always gives me VIVID images in my head,
ominous stuff.

Icct Hedral makes me think of someone in a coffin, but
they're still alive, gasping for air. Those hisses at the
start are just disturbing.

Digeridoo - Zulus with blow darts chasing you.

Pigeon Street - The eighties cartoon or the comic strip of
pigeon street that appeared in "buttons" which I got when I
was about 4.

Ghost in the Shell - The actual "Metal Gear" battlemech
thing from the MGS games.

Avril 16th - Being in a nice London dining room looking out
into the street and seeing stuff go by.

Lots of SAW 2 tracks - Clouds and being half awake.

Windowlicker - Going to the same place again and again even
though you're bored of it.

Flim - A baby wolf.

If it really is me - A dark wet corridor leading to a
boarded up building on the seafront in a run down town
(Think the old penny arcade that used to be a dogem place in
Barry Island Jonesy and Jedi Chris)

A lot of the Hangable Autobulb tracks remind me of spies and
sneaky stuff. Dark hallways and buildings with guards
walking around with flashlights, while some guy tries to
infiltrate the security. Particularly Custodian Discount!
Wabby Legs and Hangable Autobulb remind me of this too, for
some fucked up reason...

Someone else said before that custodian discount made them
think of a motel at night with a night watchman patrolling
the halls then loads of rhubears run out.

Didn't you say before something about a guy falling then
exploding into a cloud of doves at the end?

Yeah, that was me, Custodian Discount USED to make me think
of that. :-) Hehe, I love that track. Either way, it
involves a night watchman and an empty-ish building, god
knows why.

That dove thing wasn't me, I don't think...

sheeiiit ....

I was just thinking how Rhubarb reminds me of the WTC plane
wttack in slo-motion.... buildings slowly collapsing.......
kinda like "koyaanisqatsi"

then i read the Milan Air-crash thread....
I'm putting Rhubarb back on
Canary Wharf better watch out...:\

Rhubarb just reminds me of anything sad that's on my mind.
That track is so good, it has INFINITE possibilities, in
terms of mental image. That, and Autechre's Vletmrx21!
Unbelievable tracks.
