Have your music/video tastes ever really caused you to be ostricised or condemned ? I was watching a "Bill Hicks " video on Christmas day once and my Gran walked in halfway through the "Using Terminally Ill stunt-people in films" stand-up piece. It upset her so much I was accused of ruining Christmas for the whole family !!! I played Orbital with my window open during Princess Di's funeral and got a letter of complaint through the door the next day :) I met a Professional footballer called Kevin Russell who played for Leicester once who told me he liked Leftfield but his team-mates took the piss out of him for it !!! Knowing that footballers have shit taste in music whenever they asked him what he was listening to on his walkman he told them it was... "Luther Vandross" and then they thought he was 'cool'.(!!!!??) But really he was listening to "Leftism". anyone else been hassled for their taste in music ...any extreme examples ?? :)) |
