Have your music/video tastes ever really caused you to
be ostricised or condemned ?

I was watching a "Bill Hicks " video on Christmas day once
and my Gran walked in halfway through the "Using Terminally
Ill stunt-people in films" stand-up piece. It upset her so
much I was accused of ruining Christmas for the whole family
!!!

I played Orbital with my window open during Princess Di's
funeral and got a letter of complaint through the door the
next day :)

I met a Professional footballer called Kevin Russell who
played for Leicester once who told me he liked Leftfield but
his team-mates took the piss out of him for it !!!
Knowing that footballers have shit taste in music
whenever they asked him what he was listening to on his
walkman he told them it was...

"Luther Vandross"

and then they thought he was 'cool'.(!!!!??)
But really he was listening to "Leftism".

anyone else been hassled for their taste in music ...any
extreme examples ?? :))

Anal Cunt? They from Boston, dude, they play really funny
grindcore, but the most "provocative" thing about them is
their track titles like: "I noticed that you're gay" "Dead ,
Gay and dropped", "Internet is Gay", "I hope you get
deported" , "You got cancer", "You look adopted", "You look
divorced" and so on... You get the picture. also one of the
tracks is called "Everyone in Anal Cunt is dumb"

its always the way. you get a comedian who actually tells it
like it is and the oldies complain. theyd rather watch
barrymore, jim davidson or some other banal cunt to
entertain them. bill hicks was a genious and anyone who
disagrees or at least cannot appreciate his material or his
view on life deserves to listen to listen to victoria wood
on audio cassette for the rest of their miserable blinkered
fucking lives. no offense to your gran though
smokehammer-ruining the christmas is a bit over the top
though, eh???

from the local scout group for socially unacceptable
behaviour. The police were called. Ahem.

bouncers and genesis cane to arrest me. i saw the error of
my ways in the back of the pigvan as phil collins gently
whispered the words to 'invisble touch' down my ears. later
that evenong i inscibed the words to 'in the air tonight' on
my cell wall....

The furthes I've come to being bashed for music is playing
"Gibbon" by You-Know-Who in my ART CLASS of all places.
People were asking if it was dedicated to monkeys, like, for
realz. Anywho.....Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir are
socially unnaceptable. Ive almost got jumped once for
blasting "Heresy" by NIN while driving in a Kentucky
neighborhood...
