I'm Not Worried At All

That's right!!!! I did it, I posted the first topic on this
CD and well dammit, I have to say, I actually like alot of
the tracks....
Yup, I said it, I admit it....LOL....

When I first DL'd this album, I was NOT looking forward to
hearing shit techno and crap guest appearances...
I have to be honest, I used to enjoy Moby's live sets back
in and at the desert raves of SoCalifornia back in 94-95,
when he actually knew how to play a live set and thrown down
a good progressive, housey set for dancin fun.....

Than came the "explosion" that was the album PLAY, which
drilled any and EVERY song off of it into our
Psyche.....Making the public numb....and sick of MOBY and
ALL he brought to the table.

NOw jump to 2002, his new album "18" is released....Probably
gonna be held up with VERY high expectations, which is
pretty obvious with corporate america trying to find the
perfect electronic music ad piece...

I say this in the end...After listening to this album a few
times, I really DO appreciate the talents that MOBY has
especially with the beautiful piano and "God moving over the
face of the waters" feel to em....and this record is FULL
of those.
Of course you will hear MANY similarities to PLAY, but I ask
that all of you close your eyes and really listen....
NOw remember, you will NEED to cloese your eyes and
relax...Be sure to pop those god dammed GAP ads and "TV
ads"
outta your head...They will cloud your chance to see a few
wonderful pieces of music by a pretty talented guy....

Otherwise, you might as well NOT give it a try and watch
TV.....

Thanks for letting me rant....

-IL

BoC forever of course!

Moby's music is bland , corporate shite. He is a sucker of
Satan's cock.

I say this judging from the last album, I've heard it and I
can honestly say it has no soul or anything, just dull music
for 30-something middle class twats.

The new album could be the best thing ever, and frankly - I
don't care.

map: actually last year after moby read an unauthorized bio
of himself he realized how much of an ass he's been.
paraphrase: "i apologize for my comments in the past about
aphex twin and orbital. i don't know why i got like that, i
LOVE their music."

poll suggestion:

the url of project-x should be:

www.moby.is.a.cunt
www.fuck-moby-in-his-shaved-ass.com
www.mobypenetrationswithlightsabres.gov

if he is that unimportant, than simply don't care.

I had a flatmate who talked exactly like him; really
pretentious and annoying. His preaching annoys me as
everything he says is crap and he likes to think of himself
as a bit of a radical intellectual.

I agree Jonsey...Other than the tracks I like and think are
really good, I could give TWO SHITS about Moby....

His views, his preching, his ignorance when it comes to
interviews....

offline jonesy from Lisboa (Portugal) on 2002-04-17 09:37 [#00179530]

I like Go, which is just a reworking of the Twin Peaks theme
and God Moving Slowly Over the Waters and maybe Inside.
Apart from that he's a pretentious little runt.

Ironlung: Im feelin ya.

come on Moby got more talent than a lot of cats and all yall
know that. Ofcourse he got shitloads of shit material like
his new single all is made of stars and some really cheesy
stuff. But he also made some amazing beautiful music, I made
a compilation album of his paino and ambient pieces (My
Weakness, God movine etc etc) and MAN do that album
ROCK!!!!!! (I would never buy a moby album tho).

"Fucker" u just a "fucker" so...

offline Archrival on 2002-04-17 09:44 [#00179539]

he made some classic ambient tunes thats fo sho sho,

oh thank you...I am glad atleast ONE person hears what I am
saying...
I also would NEVER buy a MOBY album....I have DL'ed a few of
them(all being the ambient stuff) and I quite enjoy it....
The "I Like To Score Album" is very very good....Minus one
or two tracks....
He is VERY talented when he makes music and the ONLY quality
about him I choose to acknowledge....

=)

Yep, that just about sums his music up.

Every track from Play was licensed for advertising
commercials. I hope he chokes on corporate cock.

I think 18 is better than PLAY, more coherent. He may well
have sold his ass to advertisers, but so has afx (not as
many tracks, granted) and him being so loaded as a result
saves me from feeling bad about downloading the whole thing
and not giving him a penny of my money!

moby's newer tracks are boring imo. he become more and more
an american popartist. does a man in the street think that's
techno?
i'am bored of him, and he's overrated.
