Thom Yorke seems a bit hypocritical

His new album Tomorrow's Modern Boxes is released through a new
pay-torrent - which in itself can seem quite innovative. But
the fact of the matter is that the torrent release costs $6
and is mp3 only - and the only way to get lossless format is
to buy a vinyl, where a FLAC/WAV-download is included.

I think it's a bit hypocritical to be on the forefront of
releasing music digitally, like Thom York is and has been
with Radiohead, and then withholding the "good stuff" with a
$30 pricetag - especially for those people who doesn't own a
turntable.

Personally I do own a turntable, but I'm done with investing
in vinyls.

Bought the vinyl and I've got absolutely no problem that you
don't get the other formats with the digital release..vinyl
has always been better than any other format. You want
quality: you pay, simple as that.

would be nice to listen to it before paying 30 quid for it.
and if it's as good as atoms for peace i'll be very happy.

I just want to be able to buy a FLAC-only release - I would
be happy paying twice as much as the mp3.

So you're saying that if you don't own a record-player, you
have to buy one in order to get a lossless quality recording
for your computer?
