The real fun is in the "Accent Sweep Circuit" (my name).
This involves a diode and a 47k resistor in series driving the ACW (anti-clockwise) end of a 100k pot, and a 1uF capacitor (to ground) hanging off the CW end. The wiper
of the pot goes via a 100k mixing resistor to one of the two
summing nodes for filter frequency..... .....Human listeners - and probably a few furry quadrupeds - interpret this
output of increasingly high pitched audio signals as sounding like
the cry of a living creature becoming increasingly distressed,
apparently in response to quickly repeated bursts of stimulus.
Whole essays could develop from this, in terms of how a few simple
passive components in the TB-303 mimic the distress cry of a living,
sentient creature.

turn the tune knob up all the way, then tune it slightly to the highest possible scale
can sound absolutely awesome when playing rhythmic one or two note patterns

my mate was watching a Limmy webcam the other day where he used the 303 as analogy for someone to kinda, feel a bit more optimistic about their life, basically, paraph : "it was totally shit at being a bass guitar but it was so awesome because, well it just was what it was" sorta thing..cheesy as but decent advice
arent roland on about redoing it or something,oh dear

Have you seen the webcam show where he listens to Tomorrow's Harvest for the first time, and narrates a sci-fi film to it?

Oh I haven't seen that one, I should have a look.
I can't stand Daft Punk, though.
Thanks for the link, btw!

I watched it! The whole two and a half hours.
I thought it was brilliant. Completely agree with everything he said, and I was really impressed by his musical memory, constantly pulling up older tracks. And the little 'playlets' he did were very funny - especially the one about being in Benidorm, while a bar band is playing in the background (Daft Punk, in this case).

I also love how exasperated he gets when a new track starts. Saying "OOoohh for fffffu........". The Benidorm bit was funny.

His face when he puts on the very first track is priceless.
And the mixing of that Touch song with Les Miserables, worked really well.
