Been bothering everyone i know about this. I'm a huge NES
and SNES fan and can download either two NES games or A SNES
one. I'm really hesitating between getting Mega Man 3 and 5
(NES), Mega Man X or Chrono Trigger (SNES).

Any help, recommendations are most welcome as i've been
hesitating all weekend.

CHRONO TRIGGER. Even if only for the superb audio. As well
as that though it's cream of the crop for Snez

Yeah i missed out on Chrono Trigger when it came out. I'm
aware that it's a very, very good game. I just don't know
what mood i'm in for. Do i wanna shoot stuff or do i want to
invest myself in a massive adventure.. Mmmh.

I recieved a gift card so why not use it?

Also "faggots" doesn't suit the style you're projecting.

Just remember: Mega Man series- and TWO of them to play-
will most indubitably result in Frustration Fest 2014.

Mega Man = difficult; but difficulty being part of the fun.

Chrono Trigger = long adventure and story enjoyment,
evolving as you play

Personally, I miss old school RPGs more than old school
shooter stuffs, buuut that's just me. I feel like if I play
Mega Man nowadays, I will just switch to something less
FUUuUuuCK, because it's not like back in the day, when all
you had was that one new game, with your goal in life to
play mostly that one game. Nowadays I have hundreds of
games at my fingertips, so I'm more inclined to play
something with depth that engages me (instead of me trying
to be engaged). Like, I can play Tetris for 10 hours
straight, and still feel pretty good.

I play more solitaire and bejeweled than I care to admit.

I should get tetris too.

I have Mega Man 1 and 2 and still play them regularly. But i
see what you mean. =)

Make sure you update this thread with purchases, as well as
15 hours of live footage of you playing the games in front
of your television, possibly naked.

As far as "video games" are concerned, my biggest thrill
nowadays is Killer Instinct on Xbox One, which I have not
even played, but I have been following it since it
was first announced. Every time a new character comes out,
it's great, but the wait is so painful..... Looking forward
to the game in like 3 years, when it finally matures into
the full-fledged form. Gawd damn, that's a long time for
anything nowadays. What with graphene batteries around the
corner with 5 second charge time, time is being accelerated
and simultaneously slowed-down in weird ways.

What.

Mega Man X is the only game of that list i played,
but i remember enjoying blasting my way through it a lot,
in that summer of 1994 (i think).
It had fantastic gameplay and the password system,
enabled you to play it over a couple of days,
figuring out which level and boss to master,
to gain the boss´s weapon etc..

hope you enjoy it man!
points well spent :)

for those games you need a kid´s reaction time and
frustration tolerance, but i bet you can still do it!

Yep, I'm too old for games that take actual skill. I always
was shit at them, but now it's ridiculous.

Give me a nice rpg anyday.

I just reinstalled Morrowind on my netbook. This is a trite
thing to say, but it's fun to see a game run on my shitty
netbook that I used to play on a machine the size of a small
car.

offline RussellDust on 2014-02-01 18:26 [#02466764]

Haha i read "my small car" and thought naah it's not
possible. I don't see you as having a car, for some reason.

You are correct. I'm much too neurotic to even attempt
driving a car - there's so much I could do wrong and
horribly mangle someone else, let alone myself.
