All in on Octatrack

I'm thinking about quitting making music on computer, and
go all hardware, and the Elektron Octatrack seems to be a
good replacement for Ableton.

I love making music on computer, but it requires constant
upgrades for it to run smoothly, and we also have crashes,
incompatible plugins, and all kinds of shit I don't want to
worry about when making tracks. So I could use the money for
a brand new i7 laptop, or buy this machine.

I would still use the computer for mastering, or/and adding
some layers, but the overall composition would come from
Octatrack, and therefore changing my sound radically.

Does anyone here have any experience or opinions with the
Octatrack?

i'm pretty much constantly in/out of writers block, but the
though of mashing up my old sounds (which i recently
exported in hidef), is quite compelling. i might be able to
perform new shit out of it. and it has a build in
guitar-looper, that syncs the beat, which is something that
is only really possible with ableton.
