I was sitting taking a dump today, when I had a lovely moment of wonder. The sun was shining in my bathroom window, and was illuminating my pink-skinned arm, among other parts. Some of the light hitting my arm was reflecting toward my matt-tiled wall, upon which sits a chrome, ladder-like radiator (). The unfocused, peachy image of my arm was casting a ladder-shaped shadow in soft pink light on the wall behind the radiator, which moved everytime I moved my hand. This was what caught my attention in the first place. So my naked arm was catching incident radiation from a star, and redirecting it onto a bathroom wall in an unfocused, gorgeously low opacity glow, in an interesting shape. That's it |

The best shit I ever had was on an esker near the George River in northern Quebec. I was sitting on a bucket and shitting into it, looking out over a spectacular view of the expanse of sloping tundra, lakes everywhere shimmering in the morning sun, the odd stunted spruce tree growing on the lee side of rocks and in a miniature little grove alongside the esker. Behind me was a helicopter and a few cabins, tents and boxes, and five other people. In front of me - nothing and no one. Pure unspoilt solitude. A remarkable, sensational shit. |
