'So the reason I congratulate you on feeling fear is that
the desire of your true self it to leave a corrupt family.
Because your true self is killed everyday that you’re in
that corrupt situation. It is murdered, it is buried, it is
raised, it’s murdered, it’s buried.. this is the
feelings of your true nature and of reality.'

'But, your true self has absolutely no problem getting away
from your family. Your true self is desperately trying to
get away from your family, because your true self is being
murdered by your family everytime you’re in contact with
them and everytime you think about them and everytime you
see them and everytime they call. It’s another stab in the
heart of your true self '

'That’s what you feel. You don’t feel ‘but once I get
to the surface, what then?’ No, you’re like ‘my god,
just get me to the surface and all will be well. And I’ll
never worry about a damn thing again in my life!’’'

Seriously, if you take this guy seriously, just take a
step back and look at what he's saying. Just ask yourself,
'where's the empirical evidence for a "true self"?' If you
believe this stuff, how can you argue that a soul doesn't
exist?

Do you have a link to the rest of this talk/text/whatever. I
like his videos about anarchy/voluntaryism/non aggression
principle/trolling school/free market/etc. Closest thing
I've seen him discuss to this is 'don't hang around people
who advocate violence against you', which according to him
is also people that advocate laws/tax/etc statist things,
which I guess does have a slight scientology cult
leave-your-family-so-we-can-better-brain-wash-you feel.
Almost nobody will agree 100% with what anybody else says.

I guess idiots are allowed their say, but my goodness what a
top prat.
Did a bit of research after seeing this thread. No wonder
our in house wacky deep thinker is interested.

Yes! Thank you for taking an analytical approach and
thinking through the implications of what he's saying. So
few of the nobs who follow this guy are capable of that
despite how they glorify "reason" (i.e. agreeing with
Stef).

These ideas he's promoting about true selves and true
reality are metaphysical, platonic, and yes even
theological. Stef is not a thinker and doesn't see the
sparks when his ideas grind against each other.

I've posted this link before but it summarizes so much
so well so here it is again!

The core interesting stuff SM talks about is anarchy/free
market/non-aggression/voluntaryism/peaceful parenting/etc,
so this wishy washy philosophical stuff is the wrong thing
to focus on imo. I watched the above video, one of the least
interesting I've seen but also old. Prattles on in the
beginning and I would have skipped it, not a good epitome of
his better ideas.

All the anarchy stuff can be disputed too of course, but I
consider his ideology one of the most intellektUALLIY
STimuLAYTING and worthy of MEMETIC VIRAL SPREAD to infect
you all with anarchy until society crumbles and dies, for I
am g'mork, the servant behind the nothing, and trying to
help the emptiness that is left, the despair destroying this
world.

Some argue that anarchy is tyranny disguised behind a
rhetoric of liberty, like evil big business trying to crush
the main thing that holds it in check, government.
Stormcloudsgathering debated him recently but it was a
shitty video. Also willcutts but that wasn't spectacular
either (better than the former).

I just know the current system sucks a left nut and a right
nut, and children are held prisoner in artificial hell pits
causing them to grow into corrupt adults who think abraham
lincoln once traveled 10 miles to return a penny, when he
was a predator lawyer who once peed on an entire crowd and
roasted babies or something.

He proposes that a free market is the only nonviolent
solution for a peaceful society. That's bullshit and comes
entirely from his fetish for Ayn Rand. Capitalism has some
major flaws and can by no means guarantee a peaceful
society, even if all tax-based governments disappear.

While I agree with non-aggression and peaceful parenting, I
have to call bullshit when I see it. And when it comes to
Stef there's a christload to see.

A quick skim over this site will prove that. When it
comes to criticism, Stef often behaves in an incredibly
hostile and slimy manner. Seek out the articles on that site
that document his reactions to in-depth criticisms of his
UPB book. So many good-natured people who just wanted to
help him see his errors (and who also invested a twatload of
their time) were attacked, ignored, and banned.

The very same thing happened when his beliefs surrounding
childhood trauma stuff was called into question — when he
was presented with evidence from the twin studies that
contradicted his claims.

I know a great many people (personally too, including myself
and my current g/f) who have been very badly affected by
Molyneux's dogmatic belief system and his slaveish community
of parrots. And for that reason, I much prefer the idea of
other people preaching non-violence without all the bullshit
and manipulation attached.

People tend to think of anarchy as something terrible. That
the biggest bullies will take over. Yet isn't that already
the case?

What we need is a change of bullies. Get the state out of
the workplace so employers can make pregnant women
use their vacation time to pee, as God intended.

Two words: Texas Catheter.

I hate how pregnant women pee more often. It's a real
problem and it should be tackled. It's money needed for
those with higher ranks, so they can enjoy fancy dinners and
prostitutes.

It's money down the drain/toilet. Pee is money.

you are scared of guilt cos it connects you to people. tell
ppl they are responsible for themselves. all of you alone
and its all competition. cry when a really ambitious man
controls you. but its the jungle you asked for.

I'm just being silly in this thread but i was wondering what
you were on about.

I hate people who can't settle things quickly. Why not
simply answer such an easy question.

People tend to say "whatever" when they don't have much to
say. I'll admit that sometimes it can be due to lack of
patience.

ah its just impatience.
razor social anarchism didnt work. authority emerges (a less
justified authority). obviously.
people keep talking about no authority.

No idea who this guy is but he seems like a twat.

I'm all for more individual responsibility, but full-on
libertarianism could never work - there are too many
real-world problems that individualism simply cannot fix.
Plus if you push libertarianism to its limits, you end up
chatting meaningless twaddle much like this guy does with
the "true self".

If I have one piece of political advice it is never go to a
Libertarian barbecue. The food will be terrible if there is
any, and the people will be creepy, the kind of people who
are driven by a single issue and seem sort of half dead
until you mention their button issue then they go so, so
mental. I speak from experience here.

Can you imagine the horror of a Stef Molyneux barbecue?
Thinnest paper plates, cheapest hot dogs, generic soda, all
the guests are twitchy alienated socially impotent young men
who live in basement apartments with garbage bag curtains.
Jesus.
