I work for weeks on tracks sometimes and find it quite
difficult. So I leave the one I'm working on and start work
on a semi-cheesy four to the floor track in orion and it
sounds good and I did it in a night!

god,

my music is kinda Meshuggah style, but i know what you mean,
I use a 32-track digital recorder, but sometimes i'll plug
everything in to my shitty Tascam 4-track and it will sound
awesome, damn machines

It's not whether it takes one night or one month to create a
song, it's how good it sounds in the end.

i did about 20 songs all with the fruityloops 3.3 demo.
which meant that i had to complete every one of them in one
take.....

the up side is that a song you create in one take will
retain much if not all of the emotions and feelings that you
intended for it.

tascam four tracks aren't that bad... :sad face: sorry, i
just don't do smileys. i've done some good shit with
tascams, but i'm not sure if you're talking about digital or
analog. i'm going to upload some tracks i did to mp3.com
soon, if i can get my connection to work. i prefer the
lesser quality some times... music thats incredibly clean
makes me angry. like it's lost all of it's humanity already.

i just covered come to daddy with my tascam. i unplugged my
effects pedal while i recorded the drum track and left it
on, and i got this really cool flanger feed back that went
along with the beat pretty well. mistakes kick ass!

yeah i used to do that with the old rebirth demo - i had
some great tracks recorded live straight to tape - 15
minutes making patterns, 15 minutes recording :) it was
great!
