It's an amazing track. Over 10 years old and still going
strong. It hasn't aged one bit, IMO.

AE brilliance!

This wetpaint autechre link (you know the one) is pretty
cool. I'm just going to come out and say it: John Peel
sucked at naming tracks.

Did John Peel have any say in the name of the tracks?
thats news to me

"It turns out these titles were all given by the late John
Peel himself, not Autechre, who gave John the tracks
unnamed"

Autechre just do not make bad music. Out of their entire
discography there are only like 3 or 4 songs I actively
dislike (Djarum and that hour long quadrange perlence track
come to mind). But I seriously love everything else.

do you think blifil is "live"? it has the live feel - its
one of my fav ae tracks i feel like everytime the melody
loops i get closer to something...

Not sure. I hear what you mean, but there's so much stuff
going on in various places, I'd think in a live setting
things would get out of hand fairly quick. It does have some
rough edges though, so it may be some kind of product of a
jam-session.

It sounds like free jazz from a distant planet in the
future.

BIFIL APPRECIATION

both peel sessions are probably my favs out of the shorter
eps, i love the rough almost live feeling, they both kind of
have that recorded as a jam session feeling.

peel session 1 and especially inhake 2 which sounds like
they looped together live bits. i love the bass that comes
in at around the 2minute mark.

anyway back on topic blifil is probably my fav track from
the peel sessions, sessions.
