yeah, weme do two versions of their releases in the 313 series... the coloured one (colour chosen by the artist) is sold exclusively via the website, while the black one will be sold via normal distribution channels. |

I really like this 12", got it a few weeks ago and been listening to it every day. track A1 and B2 is totally awesome. Only managed to get the black vinyl though:( |

Carbon black is added to vinyl to make it more durable and is supposedly better than other colors at smoothing out the compound and reducing surface noise Color can be done well but it's a good bet the plant doesn't have as much practice getting temperature & timings right. Clear vinyl apparently has unique sonic qualities. It probably won't last as long, whether you like how it affects the sound is personal taste I guess |

it's at the post office now, so i guess i'll find out very soon.. hopefully some of the new stuff they've been playing as Dopplereffekt will be on there, i love that stuff. this one will be by 'der zyklus' though. it seems like he has these 'periods' where he will do similar sounding stuff for a while across all his aliases, then move on to something else after a few years. you can figure out what one of his releases will sound like based on year of release more than what name it was put out under. perhaps it's just a label/rights thing. |
