So, i have always loved sel amb works volume 2, dearly
so..
and brian eno's music for airports.. but lately, they have
both gotten better. I listen to them constantly when not in
lecture or talking to someone, and have decided i should
explore more texturally delicious and subtle music before
these two albums wear out (can they ever?)

Especially if you can track down Unerforschtes Gebiet.

In addition to the stuff mentioned previously, Stalker by
Robert Rich and B.Lustmord is really good.

wow. there is something about the nonperiodic rhythm and
extreme whitenoise of this tim hecker stuff that allows me
to easily cry. thank god for that.

Biosphere are good, check out their albums insomnia,
substrata, shenzhou and their recent album n-plants which
eerily was inspired by the architecture and instablility of
Japans nuclear power plants. Then a month after the release
we had that disaster in Japan which just happens to be a
coincidence

hearts of space

LAZY_TITLE

this stuff gets me to sleep at night, i've collected about
750 x 1hr shows, I believe there's more than 1,000 out
there. It's the longest running weekly radio show in
history or something. Lot's of great classic ambient,
sometimes a little new-agey, and classical. But it does the
trick.

mandelbrot - auf tauchfahrt
mandelbrot - evolution
heard those two albuns and they are quite fascinating,
drony, strangely percussive and broodling mass.
i find this quite thrilling, seen the guy live at
maschinenfest
with a huuge pa, which was a real "ambient massage" :)

apart from that ive been advised and liked tracks by:
celer, sleep research facility and also carbon based
lifeforms

enjoy finding out what suits you of it!

Harold Budd is a little too "track as a symbol" for me;
i.e., its less ambient and more direct. Its nice, for sure,
and some of it is less direct that other stuff. Maybe it
will grow on me in future listenings. I do like the stuff
with Clive Wright especially more.

Thomas Kroner is cool; I have just listened to Unerforschtes
Gebiet, and just realized i should hear more.

I actually ordered this Rotor + album and it just arrived.
it is very minimal and quite enjoyable so far.

Tim hecker is pretty fucking sweet, I have to repeat.

But, by far and away, the most fascinating of the music I
have listened to that has been recommended, would be Thomas
Basinski.

All of it, so far, is the most moody and profound ambient
music I have encountered.. And the disintegration loops
concept is deep deep deep.

I will still look to get some Bengalfuel, Mandelbrot,
Biosphere.

Oh, the caretaker is also in my list now; i am just
listening to "an empty bliss beyond this world."

Thanks for the recommendations.. I will accept more.
