Aphex Twin changed my life when I heard "The Richard D.
James Album." In the states here, I've linked up to the
small and nurturing community of electronic music lovers,
but I want to know what you guys, the world, think. If you
have time, please, listen here:

heard the first three track
the medlodies are solid, nicely done, I am a sucker for
electric piano

beats need a lot of work... they are a bit too scattered and
there's quite a bit of clipping and and over reliance on
crushing

but didn't really remind me of RDJ at all...arrangements are
too tidy...too musoish...
what it did remind me a lot of was AIR, PLONE and even a
hint of Paradinis (the whole muso bit)...which is all good
imho

Zoomancer,

Thank you for taking a listen! And very pleased to hear even
the vaguest mention of Paradinas. And yeah, this release
isn't very reminiscent of RDJ, my first release is a little
closer to him and FlyLo. However, I've expressly tried to
stay away from strict emulation, as I have also been heavily
influenced by Air and Dj Shadow as well, so I've tried to
bridge the gap between the two.

As for the critique on the mix, there isn't as far as I can
tell any clipping. It was sent to a mastering house
eventually. as for the crushing or compression, I'm a huge
fan of Clark's "Totem's Flare" but.. if it doesn't come
close to that then I failed in my mission. There are parts
of the title track I'm not very happy with, but I employed
both generative sequencing and relative, randomized velocity
modulation, and so the computer is also a performer, and
it's not perfect. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't
but it's an integral part of my composition.

Thank you again for taking the time to listen. Appologize
for an spelling errors, on my phone.
