does it normally take ages for something to upload?
and whenever I upload anything to soundcloud they can't
make the waveform so that doesn't work either. whats going
on?

the bigger the file the longer it takes
I use mp3 320 and it has no problem making the
waveforms..you have to be patient and not click the save
button before that ajax or whatever app thingy has done its
thing
mind you I only upload tracks...the longest so far has been
7 minutes...not sure if it spazzes it if you are uploading
long mixes

cheers, no I'm uploading mixes. have been able to do so fine
until just the other day. it does the whole upload process
and then says it can't produce the waveform...so I thought
I'd migrate to mixcloud but that just says "processing" for
hours on end.

I was getting that message for one of the tracks I had done,
couldn't figure out for the life of me why, exported it
under various different depths and settings. Eventually took
the track into Adobe Soundbooth and exported the mp3 file
from there and it worked. It might be an encoding issue.

i've had upload problems with soundcloud before, it just
gets over run and the servers can't process the waveform
immediately. it took a few hours or so before it eventually
loaded.
