I've been watching youtubes of English spook shows.

Children of the Stones
The Stone Tape

Bit of a stone theme I guess.

Maybe next you'll care to share what you had for breakfast.

Thanks for bumping this thread. Maybe next you'll care to
share your internal anger being belittled by fleetmouse and
not having anything to defend yourself with.

Stone cold classics. Thanks for the quality version links.

Anything else you recommend with a similar mood? When I was
poking around these two were the titles that got mentioned
the most.

Well I think those two are pretty much the touchstones, the
moterlodes of Hauntology. My memory is dreadful and there's
lots of eerie, hazy imagery of things that indelibly haunted
my psyche at the time, I seem to remember some "made by
kids" film that featured the phrase "Ice Cream" then "I
Scream" daubed on a wall and a plasticine monster that just
buried my soul under permafrost. I think the best thing, as
you know, is to follow on those associated links on YouTube.
I guess "Sapphire & Steel" you must know already, that still
gives me the willies.

I don't know where you stand on Charlie Brooker, but his
recent "How TV ruined you life" features a good bit on
creepy 70s British Children's TV (if you can't be bothered
with the whole program just skip to 7.40) Why do people have to die?

My partner has just reminded me of Dramarama Spooky.

Great stuff - please tell me the monkey didn't really say
that on the kids show. I don't know much about Brooker but
some of the lines here made me larf. Nigel Lythgoe
as "Eric Idle watching a dog drown" is so perceptive it's
scary.

I think he's referring to Peter Sutcliffe?
