I'd like to think of IDM and braindance as being different aspects of the same kind of music. For me, IDM leans more to the mechanical, digital aspects of it, whereas braindance is more "creative"(experimental) and direct. i want to think that the mechanical is thought, built, destroyed by humans. i don't care about hearing a machine that runs at full speed all of the time. i like to hear when it starts, how does it arrive at full speed, how does it stop. |
