I hear you. I think my middle name is ''depression''. Why, I
don't know, but that's how it is. Gyargh!!!

it's kinda weird for me, listening to specific songs, such
as afx avril 14th, or NIN's leaving hope will drp me into
depression

I sympathize. I've had that quite bad throughout most of my
life. Eventually it dulls your senses and makes you feel
soulless and egoless.

Zen: leaving hope and the great beyond do it sometimes......
but lately it just puts me into a reflective mood, where i
think about everything, make judgements on life changing
things, then forget everything. It's really weird!

Evol: thanks for clearing that up. I looked at it first of
all, and went "that's not Ophecks...... is it?!"

song but it's very emotional, same with almost anything off
of Type O Negative's October Rust cd

I don't think it's going to be on CBC... the only channel
I'm sure it's going to be on is TQS, a Canadian French
channel, that's how I'll be watching it. There's
''territory'' and ''team rights'' issues, some games, even
huge ones like this, aren't allowed to be shown by certain
channels, it's a bitch.

Unless you have a satellite dish... then you could get it in
English, I'm sure.

Shit, I wouldn't want to miss this game for anything...
that's too bad. When he came out for the season opener all
pale and thin and bald from chemotherapy, the ovation was
amazing, the fans just screamed for 10 minutes. It's going
to be even more insane tonight... especially if he scores.
You'll hear the cheers from a thousand miles away...

yeah...ive had that problem for a while...
its been less consistant lately though...
ill feel ok for a while...then go back to being depressed
almost all of a sudden...

for whatever reason, i like listening to more melancholic
music when depressed...
squarepusher's 'my sound' is great for the occasion...gives
me an emotional reaction almost without fail...which is
sometimes the best thing...
crying when depressed is almost like pooping when
constipated

i hate getting depressed
i specially hate getting depressed because i get laughed at
because of it
im 11 years old, and ive been getting depressed about every
other week for over a year
but, when it first started, i was sent to a hospital
i was gone for a week, and my teacher idiotically told my
class that i had lung problems...o.O
but, when i got back everyone asked me what had happened
i only told about 3 people what happened, and next tihng i
knew there was a rumor going around that i stayed in a
mental hospital because i slit both of my wrists and tried
to hang myself from my roof....
i am still bothered about it every once in a while
also, when people found out what really happened, they
became really nice to me, and that bothered me alot...its
not like i had completely changed into some new cooler
person that everyone wanted to hang out with all the
time...
so...
i kinda know how u feel (i think)

sorry to hear this from all of u
i too am pretty depressed...ive never been diagnosed
officially or anything..
i wont bore u with the details but as u must know it can
make life pretty miserable/difficult

Mr_Flappypants, i (think) i know what u mean about other
people's attitudes towards this sort of thing.. no one takes
it seriously they seem to be pretty immature about it
especially at this age, its impossible to talk about and it
seems nobody else knows what its like
they're all so damn cheery and motivated.... it just makes
it worse when im arround them

mylittlesister (the member not MY little sister) said avoid
shallow people when depressed.. good advice but they're
pretty hard to avoid:)

w W w said: "Eventually it dulls your senses..." ya i know
what u mean too... [i seem to know what all of u mean :-(..
whichi guess is bad]
its not just feeling sad (though i do feel sad), but just
little emotion. its like a general state of grey slush...
really dull, if u know what i mean..(?)

ya same here wayout
i listen to a lot of 'meloncholic' music music when i feel
down.. (which is often)
its weird that happy music doesn't really make me happy when
im sad.. it just annoys me
meloncholic music seems to make me feel... well, i dont
think 'better' is the right word, but it helps anyway

ur right about provoking some sort of emotional response (ie
crying)... it seems to really help.. it sort of gets it out
of u...
its just hard to do

I guess I should be saying something, having experienced
this awful sickness to a degree which makes me feel somewhat
of an expert on the subject, although even talking about it
is pretty depressing in itself.

8 years of drugs, psychiatrists, councellors, psychiatric
wards ( i kid you not), ECT, more drugs, and finally coming
to the conclusion that the only one that can help you is
you.

The only comfort I have is that at last it becomes a shared
experience with you lot and the realisation that (and this
is the real killer) you are not the only person in the world
who has been through shit.

I love you all. peace.

I find that listening to sad music kinda makes me feel good
in a depressed sort of way... it's a cool feeling, but is
still one you'd rather not have, but you still want... if
that makes any sense whatsoever... :)
