"For dance, trance, and techno lovers, Kyma includes
numerous tempo-based sample players, various sequencer
types, and several drum machines. The BPMRandoMiniLoops, for
example, jumps around randomly within a sample at a rate
determined by the bpm setting and picks segments of random
durations, playing some forward and some backward. You'll be
the hit of the rave with the DerangedSampleBits Sound, which
grabs bits of a loop at user-defined points and then uses
the AnalogSequencer module to play through those bits in
different orderings. Using the VCS (or a Motor Mix), you can
toggle steps of the sequence in real time."...

from here.....

I know Autechre have got one (it was used all over one of
the Peel Session CDs)...but I reckon Mr James has got this
too...the function described above sounds like just the
thing to create the finely cutup drillNbass stuff on
drukqs...

Pity it's about £3000...would love to have a play with
it...

Lol.

Yeah, I'd love one of those too, they look sweet.

yeah, I often wonder who writes these sort of
brochures/descriptions...it always sounds like someone
really old, trying to sound really young...fuck all that,
just gve me the specs!!!...

Likewise...

I was reading about an old episode of BikerGrove yesterday
where they had a school disco and a couple of the kids were
being DJs...apparently the producers had no idea how a DJ
works and instead of decks/mixer/12", they had the kids
hitting saucepans (as if they were drums) & doing something
with a bike wheel...

What fucking planet were they on?...It was before the
EveryoneWants2BaDJ craze but you would have thought it was
fairly obvious a DJ plays records....

I would SOOOO love to see this episode...

...Apparently BT used it all over the recent work he did for
NSYNC...

What a waste....
