If you feel your ratings will head towards decimal point territory please increase the increments of your scoring system.
There's no reason for this other than I prefer it.
I thought Survivor was pretty crap from what I remember, or maybe I'm thinking of Choke. They're all pretty similar. Anyway,
The World Inside - 7/10 even though it's horribly dated. I Lick My Cheese - 5/10 My 4th attempt at finishing Naked Lunch 125/289 (pages)

Pygmy (Chuck Palahniuk) - 3/5 loved the style, fun book until the extraordinarily cheesy, happy and lame ending.
Catch 22 (Joseph Heller) - 4/5 good humor, though it didn't really date all that well imo.

@Portnoy: The Sorrow of War, I bought a copy of the book in Vietnam about 10 years ago, but I was put off by the poor quality of the translation. Cool tho, they had a real business of illegal book copies going there, you could get just about any popular book for next to nothing.

Right now i am reading a lot of self help books. All about personal development and communication.
If i could change the way i interact with people, i'd be willing to try to change some of my behavioural patterns.
But only if i have a proper theoretical background. Seriously, if been in therapy for two years and my therapist never talked about theory. But this is important for a person like me!

I think I have same problem, I think maybe there is no conversation problem, problem is that there is not many people with whom we make verbal contact. Unfavourable environment is reason why people cant build relationship.

It is just not enough to adopt a few new 'techniques'. What i want is to develope a certain integrity and competence and that requiers a personality change.

Kommunikative Kompetenz by Wolfgang J. Linker. The author suggests that you break the eye contact with the person you are talking to, if she brings up negative things. Instead lay your hand on your chin, look down, and pretend that you are thinking!
So, the person does not associate you with these negative things.
A very good book!

X-tomatic,
I read a good copy. It was binded nicely and I didn't detect any overt errors in the text like you do with those others. Really amazing book, the images are still stuck firmly in my mind.
Other borrowed copies:
Jacob Abbot - Alexander the Great Hermann Hesse - Siddhartha - 5/5 Jack Kerouac - Dharma Bums -4/5 Tom's midnight garden - 4/5 The Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring - On the outskirts of the Shire - full marks (I find myself reading Ian Mckellen as Gandalf. Luckily Cate Blanchett isn't narrating the whole story)
Haven't read much else since last posting in here.

Interesting, my copy might have been an early translation then. I picked it up then because I was interested to hear their side of the story, especially after visiting the War Remnants Museum (a.k.a. the Museum of American War Crimes) in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).
good idea btw, to link the titles, I'll start doing that as well.
