Hardcore/Gabber

|REFLEX| from Western Canada on 2001-06-21 17:49 [#00010625]

Anyone else enjoy Hardcore or Gabber? I do enjoy this music
style quite a bit. Please if you have any links to mp3s, or
sites let me know, as I want to check it out some. I like...
well there is this one German group... and I can't find the
name but I have like 10 songs by them, and they are great
shit! As well, The Shizit is some hardcore stuff, not many
people enjoy them all too much cause of that fact. But I
lovem, im listening to them right now, its the morning and I
need to wake up, and Im going through some frustrating
times.. Argh. So let me know.

sednalom from tejas on 2001-06-21 18:35 [#00010631]

check out

hellfish - planet mu

there is a whole collection called
happy hardcore vol. 1-8,
you can find compilations in the various electronic sections
in most stores.

try the caustic window compilation or full sunken brakes(kid
spatula)
check out the chemical ravers compilation
go to
http://www.bogdanraczynski.com/discography.html

and dl some of his tracker songs, those are pretty hard.

king stacey' ovuca is hard braindance
(especially track 3, i think it gets over 255 beats per
minute at one point)

some of samurai math beats is very gabber(track 12)

i dunno what else, happy hardcore is kinda lame though.
kinda like the trance of hardcore

|REFLEX| from Western Canada on 2001-06-21 18:47 [#00010634]

oh no, I didn't mean like that kind of hardcore, I mean like
metal/industrial/electronic meet. I only know of one group
like this. But people have told me of others. Such as Bile,
but never checked them out. for some reason. gabber well
yeha you know what that is. But not Happy Hardcore I hate
it.

you should check out hyperdriver on mp3.com. it's some
wicked shit.

AFX / PCP fan. from Holland on 2001-06-21 20:52 [#00010645]

Can you name some titles from tracks from this German group?
Maybe i can help you. I like Hardcore/gabba a lot.
But i prefer the real hardcore.
Gabba is more the music for parties.

Real hardcore is darker and more industrial. Raw.

I'm really crazy about a particular German group.
They are not anymore in their original group, they split up.
But the guy who produced the most is still making hardcore.
That group was called PCP (Planet Core Productions).
It was more like an organisation, because within PCP they
had different labels, like PCP, Dance Ecstasy 2001, Cold
Rush, etc.... .
They were also they guys that produced Mescalinum United's
We Have Arrived, which Aphex Twin remixed!

They are also known for a lot of hits (in the underground
scene of hardcore) like Marshall Masters - Don't Touch That
Stereo.

So maybe you have some tracks from PCP.
Or else Nordcore, also a german group.

Hardcore, today, tomorrow, forever!

|REFLEX| from Western Canada on 2001-06-21 21:16 [#00010649]

AFX / PCP fan: I was into that hardcore stuff to. New York
hardcore/chicago hardcore styles. Like.. what was that
record label... oh yeah victory records.

Well the german group I was talking about is named :
Pneumatik. Its good shit!. Oh and if you want some hardcore
shit! that you can download many mp3s. then go to the
shizits homepage!

Check out Oliver Chesler (Things to come Records)

My friend let me listen to a french compilation cd. I do not
have the name of it, but it has a great track on by some
people called Somatic Response.

rob fragilenine from you tell me on 2001-06-22 17:34 [#00010696]

If you want some really hardcore metal/industrial shit, go
to www.mp3.com.au and search for 'full scale deflection'.
They're an Australian band from around where I live (Perth).
They claim to be influenced by Slipknot, but they sound
nothing much like them. It's heavy-ass music with industrial
samples and noise. You gotta check them out.

Earface from Henglund on 2001-06-22 18:14 [#00010701]

GABBA FANS: check out www.crossbones.co.uk

I've seen them a few times at squat parties - they do some
pretty mental shit.

There are loads of links to all kinds of hardcore on their
website.

|REFLEX| from Western Canada on 2001-06-22 20:43 [#00010718]

Good good... also if you want to check out some mental
hardcore shit, ive been supporting these dudes forever
through their site, go to www.mp3.com and look up "The
Shizit" Please check it out.

SWAI from Denmark on 2001-06-23 10:59 [#00010752]

Youre right about Shizit! i checked them out. pretty harsh.
"Random acts of freedom " is raw. For any hardcore fan i
would reccomend "ATARI TEENAGE RIOT"
its so fucked up. And alec empire (leader of ATR) ´s
solowork is great 2. check it out. but their newest stuff is
the best. that means

60 second wipeout
Live at brixton academy (pure noise)

|REFLEX| from Western Canada on 2001-06-23 15:42 [#00010778]

yah, the Shizit is some hardcore raw shit, I quite like it

i love hardcore....but besides atr, i only know of hardcore
DJs- if you like djs, check out tron.

Low Entropy on 2001-08-20 14:10 [#00023381]

yoyo i love hardcore/gabber/breakcore too. everyone who is
interested in that music should check out the likes of
Praxis Records(trashed drum'n'bass beats meet gabber drums
and noise), Somatic Responses(especially their earlier
releases, nowadays they are a lot softer than they used to
be) or some of the earlier DigitalHardcoreRecordings Stuff,
which rocked! check out widerstand records too they make
some really cool stuff ;)
oh yeah and make sure to check out http://www.c8.com this is
imho the best resource for hardcore on the web.
to "AFX/PCP fan": yeahyeah, PCP rocked, do you have some of
their earlier releases? they were really awesome!

D U S T from I O W A on 2001-08-21 05:57 [#00023611]

Reflex,

When you mentioned hardcore do you mean hardcore that
originated out of the punk scene or hardcore associated with
electronic music. The only reason I ask is because I used
to really be into X-edge hardcore for about five years.
Bands like Unbroken, Mouthpiece, Coalesce, Damnation a.d.,
Ressurection, Bloodlet, Trial, Outspoken, and 108 are what I
would call hardcore bands or would be associated with the
hardcore movement. At one time victory records put out some
decent hardcore records like Snapcase-lookinglassself,
Strife-one truth, and Earth Crisis-firestorm ep. I used to
work at a record store and kids would always ask what I was
into and when they heard what I played them it they seemed
to be confused that term hardcore isn't specifically about
the sound but more so about the attitude or the message
behind the music. In other words I had to explain to them
that Korn, Limp bizkit, linin park or whatever the hell is
the newest rap-metal fusion band playing on the radio right
now is not hardcore in the sense that I mentioned earlier.

ChemX from Miami, FL on 2001-08-21 06:07 [#00023614]

Give 'Thrax.box.sk' a try, has a large archive of
gabber/hardcore/goatrance/etc. I myself prefer drum n' bass
over hardcore, but it's all good

|=|r3fl3x|=| from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-08-21 06:31 [#00023619]

D U S T: I used to love Victory Records, had every
compilation they had! I loved Hardore. But I was talking
about electronic hardcore! Its all good.

Eww Happy Harcore! MArk of the beast! 666, Naughty Jungle of
love! No genre of music has annoyed me more than happy
hardcore, if it is a genre in itself, ive only heard it
refered to as one. I never looked into it really. Im only
certian that Happy Hardcore and Ron D Core must DIE.

Gabba's great!!!!!!

Because its a genre that has no feeling and no soul to it
what so ever!

No uplifting melodies to take you on a journey blah, blah,
blah
It's cheap, its shit. And I like it that way!
Ugly music for ugly people ;)

Bloody fist, Rotterdam and PCP (a little slower stuff) are
all brillent labels producing hardcore/gabba!

for digital shit from those kids. LOTS of good projects
being thrown around there, too many to list.

check out bile's suckpump album, it's the best of theirs
imho, definitaly the hardest. most rivithedz i know were
touting it as the best industrial album at some point in
time.

also broke bunnie has been putting out noise + hardcore
mp3 albums for close to 6 years now and the kryste vlude
kryste album or whatever it is called that is up right now
