yeah so ive downloaded a few mixes, a few songs and such.
and the 16gig can only hold so much....
but
my question is. When I uncheck the selections in iTunes so I
can synch the pod, isnt it supposed to remember ....days
later... what I had unchecked, or is there a setting
somewhere to remember to save what I want synched later on?

If you have automatic sync turned off, you have to press the
Sync button to synchronize the computer and device. When
auto is on, it just updates all the shit on the fly. Or
something.

yeah thats what happens, it just updates the shit on the
fly, i dont have to hit nothing. And it looks like it is
remembering to keep the "unwanted albums.....space" off of
the device

You could just manually drag in what you want, and turn off
the automatic library syncronization.

What do you mean it doens't remember what you've
unchecked...? Does it still get sync to the iPod? or does
it appear re-checked later on?

i turn that auto shit off
i dont use iitunes for playing music, just sync'ing
music...

-turn off auto sync
-drag new music into library
-hit sync button
-after copying to your ipod, you can then clear the
library/close itunes/uninstall

Have the 17 gig phone & found that having a dedicated
playlist was the best compromise. Have tunes set to sync
selected playlists & podcasts only. From there I will drag
tunes added in the last year into said list. Probably will
run into space issues with the podcasts but for now things
seems ok. Miss the days of my 40gb pod which held most of my
tunes & resulted in me listening to older tracks. Also dont
like the way "ipod" on the "iphone" sorts shit. Have drill
into "more" then "albums" to get to ep's & for whatever
reason it still splits up albums if there are more than one
artist on it. Comps are really shity that way. Getting to
podcasts is hassle as well.
